The Cincinnati, Beds have received
their world a series Buttons, ana are now complete in their happiness. The fashion of giving buttons to every member of a team that wins a world's championship has been in vogue for many years, and the novelty of the thing has worn off. Being a novelty In Cincinnati, pains were taken to make the event public' Tme majority of fans had no doubt forgotten all about .this custom until reminded of it. ' Tommy Leach, who will manage the Tampa team in the Florida State league, Is no novice at tho game. In 1916 Leach was manager of the Rochester team, in the International league and that was his only experience In that capacity. Last year he was captain of the Shreveport team, which won the championship of the Texas league.

The Quakers have been putting up clever basketball on the Coliseum floor, and except for the defeat handed them by Rose Poly, they have outplayed all their college opponents. A victory over Wabash Friday night would mean that the Quakers might still lay a claim to state honors. Most of the Quaked squad who have been out of the game for Illness, are back on the floor, and will be ready for the Little Giants next, Friday. :
