were accepted. President Johnson found his authority as league executive altered so far as major disciplinary actions were concerned, an arbitration board reviewing commEtee of two members being appointed to inTestlgate all punishments ordered in excess of ten day suspensions and $100 fines, while on the other hand, It was agreed to dismiss three suits brought against him by the New York club. With Johnson's victory over the insurgents it was agreed to dismiss three suits pending against the American league president, instituted by the New York club; to reinstate Pitcher Carl Mays of the New York club, whose purchase from the Boston Red Sox last summer started the trouble; to award third place in the American league rp.ee to New York and to appoint a commission on arbitration to hold office for two years. National is Peaceful. The National league owners at a peaceful session adopted a schedule of 154 games for the 1920 season and accepted the new rules formulated at a meeting of the Joint rules committee o fthe two major leagues. A meeting of the National Association of Minor leagues drafted legislation to be presented at the join meeting of major and minor leagues which was expected to be held late today and at wheih it was hoped an agreement for resumption of relations between the majors and the minors would be reached. Relations were suspended three years ago. Western league club owners agreed upon a schedule for 1920 but did not formally adopt it. A special meeting will be held in Kansas City, Monday when the schedule will be adopted and other league business, left over from the November meeting, transacted. The Three-Eye league adopted its bc hedulf late last night and the American Association virtually finished its business yesterday.

SERVICE

A Bow and a Good-Bye OUR BOW By Earl'Dafler and Wm. Spanagel In making our bow to the Drug Store purchasing public of this sec

tion we realize full well that we must uphold and if possible improve upon the three prime requisites that lias made for the success of our predecesor The Conkey Drug Co. for the past twelve years, Viz: Service, Values, Courtesy. We beg to assure you that it shall at all times be our constant aim and endeavor to carry a large assortment to select from of items carried in a first class drug store. It shall likewise be our aim and endeavor to please you in both quality and price. Come in and let's get acquainted. We are pleased to announce that Dr. Conkey has promised to keep in close touch with us until we become fully organized. WE Thank You. OUR GOOD-BYE By J. A. Conkey We respectfully bespeak for our successors Messrs. Dafler and Spanagel the hearty and loyal patronage and friendship that you

have so graciously accorded us. Knowing these Richmond young men as we do we feel quite sure that they will merit your future business in their line. Both are Graduated and Full Registered Pharmacists and have been in the drug game in this city all of their business lives. Mr. Spanrgel having been with us for some time is thoroughly conversant with the store, its stocks and methods. We wish for them much success. Speaking for ourselves we are reluctant indeed to say GoodBye. Good-Bye as we believe it is generally understood is not classed in the Joy Column but rather the opposite. We shall however in the future find much satisfaction in the fact that we may pleasantly reflect upon our twelve years in Richmond, Ind., as having been very, very, pleasant ones indeed. Without attempting to launch lengthily or otherwise in sentimentalities permit us to extend to you our loyal patrons and friends a very sincere parting hand shake, goodbye and good luck. WE ARE PENSLAR AGENTS The intelligent purchaser will particularly appreciate the Penslar Remedies for the reason that they

are offered to the public in the.

same manner as prescription remedies are offered to the phsician. The exact formula of all preparations for internal use is printed plainly on' the label, and the medicinal claims are not extravagant, but are made in the belief that- they are true No effort is made to dress these goods in large-appearing packages simply as an inducement to make a sale. In quality, the Penslar Remedies are as meritorious and as scientifically prepared as we believe it is possible for any pharmaceutical house to manufacture. Phone 1904. DAFLER-SPANAGEL EXCLUSIVE AGENTS FOR THE GARDEN COURT LINE Garden Court Toilet Water is so concentrated that you might think it an extract.
