ARLHAM HOPES FOR VICTORY IN
EM-ROE CONTEST
tory over the Em-Roe basketball team in the Coliseum Wednesday night. A victory over the Em-Roe live will place Earlham on the same step as Wabash and Purdue for state championship. However, trimming the Em-Roes la going to be a hard undertaking, as the team has lost but two games to Wabash and Purdue, and these early in the season. They demonstrated their class last Friday night, when they defeated the Ft Wayne K. of C. team by a close score. The K. of C. team includes such stars as Bacon, Stonebreaker and Zimmerman. Encouraged by the brand of basketball displayed by Earlham against Butler, Richmond will back the Quakers to the limit.
After two days' rest, the Quaker
clan will practice in the Coliseum Monday afternoon. All members of the squad are in splendid physical con
dition except Lawler, who is still suf
fering from rough treatment received over a week ago. Tickets for the Em-Roe game were placed on sale at the Westcott pharm-
acy Saturday morning, and as the number is limited to 100, the demand
is expected to be greater than the supply. No curtain raiser will be played as the Em-Roes are compelled to make
early train connections that requires the game to get started at not later
than 7:30 p. m. "Deak" Regan, who in spare time coaches the Spiceland
academy basketball team and is also principal of that school, will officiate
ywv Wednesday's game. It is doubtful if Lawler will start
the game against the Em-Roes. How
ever, Mowe has Ooar all primed to
step into the lime-light. The Quaker line-up will Include Herb Carey at
center; Hall, Lawler and Goar, forwards; and Pitts. Raiford and John
non, guards. The Em-Roes will have
Kline and Schoeneman at forward:
Smith, center; and Behrent, Feeney
ana Babb, guards. Feeney acts as cap tain for the team.

PLAYERS SWARM FOR
, LEAGUE BALL HERE
Richmond will have no difficulty in assembling a good baseball team, in ease the fans of the city decido that
they want league baseball here next reason. Already several minor league
leaders have offered to manage a Qua-
ker team, and a number of players
nave signified their willingness to rep
resent a Quaker aggregation in either
of the three circuits offered to local
baseball backers.
Quick action would be necessary.
however, if the fans decide to support
the game, as the training season is loss than two months distant, and con
siderable time would be necessary to organize a machine that would do credit to Richmond. - The team would naturally have a harder grade to make, in preparing for the season, than would teams of older league cities, as those team3 have been playing together to some extent, for several years, as it would - have to be built up entirely new. V Others in Same Boat. In this respect, however, the Quakers would not be alone, as Fort Wayne would have to reorganize a team, and any handicap that might result in this move in Richmond would be shared by the upstaters. Definite plans for financing league baseball here next season will be announced at a meeting of the directors of the Exhibition company Tuesday evening, and their desires in the matter of league baseball. ' Men interested In the game here have predicted that htere will be plenty of support for the team, once the league is organized, with Richmond holding a franchise. What is needed at present, however, is enough interest in the game to injure an even financial break during the season, and the rest will take rare of itself, and the Richmond Exhibition company will be able to give high class baseball here next summer.
TECHNICAL NEXT TO
FACE RICHMOND H. S.
That the Richmond high school bas
ketball squad has gone "stale" is the
opinion of local basketball observers
The squad has been holding workouts five times a week since the latter part of November, and now the strain is
beginning to tell. The squad was in the. best condition of the season two
weeks ago.
To remedy this, Coach Fries will hold but two, perhaps three, workouts this week. The strong Technical high
school basketballers will invade Rich
mond Friday night, and Fries hopes
to have the local team in good shape
"Tech" beat Richmond by a close
score last season, at Indianapolis, and
igh school students hope for revenge
Winning from Technical high Is go
ing to be a difficult proposition, as the
latter school has made the best bas
ketball record of any institution in In
dianapolis. However, Huntington holds a victory over "Tech" and Richmond fans are hopeful Richmond will be
able to duplicate Huntington's per
formance.
Two new basketball players, Russell Brown and John Livingstone, will be added to the Richmond squad. Brown was the principal unit of the strong Mooresville high school team last winter, and his addition to the squad will aid Richmond's drive for the district tourney championship. Livingston is a big player, standing within a half of inch of six feet, who has had considerable basketball experience playing with Y. M. C. A. teams, and also with the Great Lakes basketball team while in the navy. He will offer opposition to Dollins for the tipoff job. Either the Technical high seconds or a Y. M. C. A. team will meet the Richmond second team in a curtain raiser Friday night.
Richmond fight fans can rest assur
ed that a high class boxing exhibition is to be staged in the coliseum Monday nighty as Billy Benson, promoter, announces that any one not satisfied with the fight, -will be refunded his money.
To insure- further a good exhibition,

"i have suffered for quite awhile
with sluggish liver; at times I would
get so dizzy, I would have to stop
and sit down; spots would dance be
fore my eyes; I had headaches and a bad taste in my mouth; my appetite became poor, and my food did not
digest nor give me strength; my
stomach was often sour, while gas
and bloating caused me much uneasi
ness. The pains often extended round to by back and limbs, so that it was
an effort to keep on with my work,'
says Mr. F. M. Lamb, a truck driver,
living on Conners Road, West, near
Richmond, Ind.
"There was so much talk about and praise being given Dreco I decided to try it. The first bottle proved to me It was a good medicine, as it soothed
my stomach and relieved the gas form
ing. I continued the treatment, and
never have a dizzy spell, nor see the spots before my eyes; my bowels act regular; my appetite is fine, and my
food digests and gives me strength
I don't have any more pains in my
back or limbs, and haven t had a head
ache for a long time. Dreco is a good
medicine, and I gladly add my words
of praise for It.
Dreco acts on the liver in a smooth
gentle manner, gradually working off
the excess bile day by day. It is neitfr
er strong nor harsh, and does not ex
cite the muscles of the bowels, as
strong cathartics do. It tones up the
digestive organs and relieves gas on
the stomach; puts an end to const!
pation; increases the appetite; gives strength to weak' kidneys; restores
tired nerves, and induces sound sleep
Dreco is a great blood purifier and
system cleanser.
All good druggists now sell Dreco,
and it is highly recommended in this

SKIN ERUPTIONS CAUSE UNBEARABLE ITCHING
Scratching Increases the Irritation of the Delicate Skin Tissue. You can claw your nails into your skin until it bleeds, in an effort to obtain relief from the fiery Itching and burning caused by skin diseases, but you only increase the irritation and pain. And you can pour ointments, salves and lotions by the gallon on the irritated parts, without obtaining anything but temporary relief. Just as soon as the strength of the counter irritant gives out, your pain and torture will return with increased violence, because these local remedies have not reached the source of the trouble. The real source of all skin disease
is the blood supply. The blood becomes infected with some impurity, and the disease germs break out through the delicate tissues of the tkin. They may appear as eczema, tetter,' boils, pimples, scaly eruptions caused by disease germs in the blood, The. real cure, therefore, must be directed through the- blood. And no remedy has yet been discovered that equals S. S. S. for such disorder of the blood. This great old remedy cleanse the blood of disease germs, and clears up the complexion and gives it the ruddy glow of perfect health.
