PROMINENT EATON WOMAN DIES FROM PNEUMONIA ATTACK

EATON, O.. Dec. 24. Mrs. Mary Woerner. 61, wife ot the late Joseph Woerner, for many -years the leading clothing merchant of Preble county, died at her home here Monday eve

ning from the effects of an attack of pneumonia. She was ill only a few

Mrs. Woerner lived all her life in Eaton. She was a daughter of the

late Michael Ryan, who died many

years ago and who for a number of

years was marshal of Eaton, surviv

ing her are two step-daugnters, Mrs. Chester Lamb, of Dayton, and Mrs. Joseph H. Moorman, of Eaton; two sisters, Mrs. Anna White, who made her: home with her. Mrs. George KeyIUib, of Cincinnati; and three brothers, James Ryan, of Gennantown, Ohio; Michael Ryan, in the United States government employ in the Philippine Islands, and Edward Ryan. Dies in St. Louis. .Word was received here Tuesday by Joseph A. Lugar announcing the death of his brother, Edward Lugar, at his home in St. Louis. The decedent was born on a farm ' near Eaton. He , was a son of the late Joseph and " Sarah Lugar. He left Eaton many years ago and for a number of years had lived in St Louis. He is survived by his wife and several children. A brother, Charles Lugar, resides in Newcastle, Ind. Hold Christniaa Party. Members of the Unity club gave 'their annual Christmas party Tuesday afternoon for the children of Eaton and vlclhity. Considerable damage resulted from frozen water pipes at the public library, due, it is said, to insufficient heating of the building. Pipes bursted and water flowed onto floors in upstairs rooms.
