AMERICAN STOPS WAR THAT HAS BEEN 1 CONTINUOUS FOR TWENTY. CENTURIES

Stopping a war that has been practically continuous for twenty centuries is the man-sized Job that has just been accomplished by CoU J. C. Rhea, a hero of the American army in France. The war, which is a conflict of the pan-Islam movement against the Christians, flamed op recently lb the Karabagb (1). Peace was brought about by Colonel Rhea summoning the premiers of Azerbaidjan and Armenia to a conference, where the Tartar and the Christian agreed to lay down arms with great praise for ths United States for its intercession. The Armenians east of Mount Ararat were cut off from all help by a recent drive of the Tartars. In Daghestaa (2) a formidable opposition has grown to Denikine, menacing his rear.
