It will take the name of Clarence Teaford, who lost his life while in service overseas. At this time there are two American Legion posts in Preble county, one in Eaton and the other at Lewisburg. G. A. R. Elects Officers.
M. N. Surface, of West Manchester, has been elected by Mulharn-O'Caln post, O. A. R., of Eaton, to represnt the post at the next annual state G. A. R. encampment. William Ailes, of Eaton, was elected alternate. Surface also has been appointed adjutant of the local post. The post has elected these officers for the coming year: Commander, A. Detrich; senior vice commander, L. B. Plummer; junior vice commander, James Ac(on; quartermaster, F. W. Kumler; Burgeon, Samuel Bringman; chaplain, George T. Acton; officer of the day, Henry Cottingham, officer of the guard, J. Riley Burson. Eaton Has Coal. Thus far Eaton has not felt the effects of the coal famine that is prevalent throughout the country, due to the miners' strike. No restrictions have thus far been placed upon light
ing of business houses or curtailment of electric power. The Eaton Lighting company only recently inaugurated an electrical transmission service from Grenville, O., thereby eliminating its local power plant. Eaton's industrial plants are few and small and practically all depend upon electric power for operation. Local coal dealers state they have experienced no trouble in supplying the local demand and that their stocks are about normal for this time 'of year. The favorable local situation the dealers attribute to the fact that during the summer months, the larger consumers laid in their winter supply of coal. Office buildings, business
houses, lodges; churches, schools and public buildings were among these; also domestic consumers who operate furnaces. On this account it has not been difficult to take care of the needs of the small domestic consumer, dealers .say. Moose Free From Debt. Probably the most important event that has taken place within the history of Eaton lodge. No. S18, Loyal Order of Moose, organized two or three years ago, was the burning of the mortgage Tuesday night that freed the lodge from all debt. The members celebrated the event with a banquet and social session in its lodge quarters. Addresses were delivered as a part of an appropriate program of entertainment. The lodge has a membership upward of three hundred.
BIG FOUR TRAIN WRECKED; NO PASSENGERE INJURED MARION, lnd., Dec. 10 South bound Big Four passenger train No. 3, leaving Marlon for Indianapolis at 5:15 p. nr., was derailed Monday, onehalf mile north of Jonesboro, and a number of passengers were given a severe shaking up. No one has been reported injured. The baggage car turned completely over, and although the other coaches left the rails, they remained upright. More than 1,000 feet of track was torn up and railroad officials say an investigation will have to be made before any cause for the accident could be determined. The fact that the train was slowing down tor Jonesboro perhaps prevented a more ser
ious, accident.'- Wrecking crews . were summoned from Indianapolis to clear up the track and repair the damage. Passengers were transferred to Jonesboro, where they boarded traction cars for Indianapolis.
SENATE DELAYS COAL PROBE (By Associated PreBS) WASHINGTON, Dec. 10. The senate labor committee deferred action upon the resolution calling for congressional investigation of the ' coal strike, as it did not desire to interfere in negotiations between the government and miners which promised to end the strike, Chairman Kenyon said.
The Theatres
jm, WASHINGTON. The attraction booked for today and tomorrow at the Washington theatre is one that is bound to please the large patronage that this theatre enjoys. Norma Talmadge in the "Isle of Conquest', was to open a four days engagement, , beginning today, but owing to the unsettled condition, and in justice to the picture itself, which by . the way, , has set all New York talking, Manager Gruenwald thought best to hold this booking up until a later date, and in its place will offer Florence Reed in her latest photoplay, "Her Game." Through the Wall street manipulation of Bruce Armitage, Colonel Raymond becomes a financial wreck. His

MURRAY A delightful vehicle of entertainment that ends its run tonight is "Vagabond Luck," at the Murray Theatre. Albert Ray and Elinor Fair, the clever William Fox comedy stars, have given an eminently worth while picture, full of snap, thrills and laughter. They are a pair of film artists who are always welcome here. No lover of bright, light comedy should miss this picture. MURRAY The kind of prayers mother used to

maae, ana tne Kina or happiness that used to follow in mother's wake that is what the authors have put Into "Turn to the Right," the widely-praised fun classic which comes to the Murray
Tuesday, Dec. 23, with John Golden's
original New Yorkfihlcago production. In It three boys who had gone
wrong in the city, are brought back to
the straight path in the country. In the meantime they win three pretty girls and justify a mother's faith in her Bible and in prayer. ' The real enjoyableness of the piece lies in its refreshing originality, supplemented by a company of capital players whose individual and collec-
itive merit Is not exceeded by that of
tne average "all-star" aggregation. The stage pictures are beautiful beyond description, notably the beautiful orchard scenes of the second and third acts. ' "Turn to the Right" Is a novel combination of the rural comedy and the crook play. There is nothing so reminiscent in either respect as to detract in the slightest from the absolute newness of the piece.
