to the grand Jury under 1300 bond on a charge of stealing a sack of feed, valued at , from the Star elevator, owned by Joseph Poos. Schlotterbeck was arrested Thursday morning in Eaton by Sheriff George Jones, as he was delivering on a milk route, operated by him.

In the court of Justice L. T. Stephen,. Schlotterbeck waived examination and was bound over to court, his wife going on his bond. He has two children. The family lives just out of Eaton on the Lexington road. It is said Schlotterbeck had appropriated feed from the elevator once before but no charges were filed. Attorney John Dye represented the accused In court. Schlotterbeck, according to his attorney, declares he got an extra sack of feed on his wagon when he was loading some feed he had bought. It is said the sack of feed was found at his home unopened. Compson Guilty. Edward Compson, tried in common pleas court on a charge of shooting at James E. Beasley, farmer, of near Lewlsburg, with intent to kill, was found guilty by a Jury hearing the ia.3A Sentence will be imposed at

the end of three days if Compson does not apply for a new trial. The trial consumed all of Wednesday and the case went to the Jury at 7:30 o'clock in the evening. A verdict was reached at 4 o'clock Thursday morning. Attorney H. G. King defended the prisoner. Prosecutor Phil Saylor, assisted by Attorney 1L R. Gilmore, prosecuted the case. Compson had been working for Beasley on his farm. After the death of Beasley's wife he and Compson lived alone in the home, Beasley's children going to live with his mother. One night early last summer Beasley came home about midnight and as he was about to enter the house Compson alleged fired upon him with a shotgun through a screen door. One shoulder of Beasley's coat was torn away, but he escaped injury.
