FOOTBALL GOES OFF EARLHAM BOARDS; BASKETBALL IS ON
Cancellation of the Earlham-St. Kavler football game because of mutual disagreement on officials, was
announced by Coach Mowe, Thursday evening. Keen disappointment over the cancellation was expressed by
members of the Quaker team.
Suspension of football means that basketball will get under way. A large number of candidates have been trying out In' the gymnasium three
afternoons a week, and in the future
practice will be heldevery day.
Considering the weight of the team
and lack of experience of most of the players, Earlham has completed one of the most successful football seasons
for several years. Three wins and
two defeats does not look impressive, but by winning two out of three I. C. A. Lh contests, Earlham has a clear title to second place in the I. C. A. L. Wittenberg Is the other team that trimmed the Quakers, Incidentally, and by the largest score. According to present prospects, Earlham will have one of the best football teams in the state next year. The wisdom of Coach Mowen having two players for every position on the team, has now become apparent. Although Cy Pitts graduates In the coming spring, Mowe has Davis groomed to fill his shoes. Eugene Raiford and Cecile Collins, quarterback and half back respective, also graduate, yet Mowe has Carter to step in at quarter and Dixon for half back. Hlnshaw, who has played such a sterling game at half all season, Is only a freshman, and Mowe has the material for one of the
test Dacitneias in tne state. Dewey Bookout and Lester Nlcholann onnlri hp rmintpfi UTlon for the en J
positions. Gordon, Hall, Pennington, Ray Johnson, Bob Johnson and Herb Carey will all be back. At least 7 games are to be scheduled for the 1920 team and will Include 6 I. C. A. I teams: Hanover, Wabash, franklin, Rose Poly and Butler. Wilmington and DePauw are the other foes Coach Mowe has in mind. Valparaiso or some other team from the northern part of the state may also be scheduled. CINCINNATI. O.. Nov. 21. Being cancelled out of next Saturday's game with Earlham College just because Karlham got cold feet is not a bit pleasing to Mike Hellenthal, captain and quarterback of the St. Xavier College football team, and his players. This is the third team to cancel on the Saints in tour weeks, and it is beginning to appear the Catholics look too powerful to the teams which scheduled them last winter. The St. Xavier management accepted Earlham's request that the game be ca nceled and is trying to arrange auother attraction for Saturday. But K none is beeked the Saints will spend the afternoon practising for their big game with the Taskell Indians, scheduled for Thanksgiving Day afternoon at Redland Field.

stand as a mark for other teams to shoot at. Incidentally the Kaysee five

FAY RHEUMATISM WAS ALWAYS BAD IN RAINYWEATHEE Richmond Resident Declares Sore Muscles and Aching Joints Foretold When Bad Weather Was Coming. Limbs Got Stiff and Back Ached.
Since Taking Dreco, the Rheumatism Has Been Entirely Relieved.

"I could always tell when we were going to have a bad spell of weather by the way my rheumatic joints and muscles acted." said Mr. E. M. Miller, who lives at 222 South 12th street, Richmond. Ind. "I have been a patient sufferer from this dread disease for years. My muscles would become sore and drawn, especially the muscles in my shoulders and limbs; my Joints 6eemed stiff and dry; you could hear them pop and crack at times, and my back was so still I couldn't bend over to the floor nor turn around quick; looked like I was full of rheumatism all over. I took a lot of medicine for this trouble, which must have been hard on my stomach, for it got weak so that it did not digest my food, but lay heavy and formed sour gas that bloated me terribly. My bowels were constipated and my kjdneys often had me up several times during the night. "Dreco sure has knocked the rheumatism out of me. My muscles no longer feel drawn or tight; my Joints are free from pain and I can stoop over, bend over and climb steps without any difficulty at all. I no longer have gas to bloat me. My bowels act regular and I haven't had to get up one time with my kidneys since I started taking Dreco. This is sure one grand medicine." Dreco Is composed of the Juices and extracts of many different roots, herbs, barks and leaves, which act on the stomach, kidneys, liver and bowels, and purify the blood. It relieves constipation, prevents gas forming In the stomach, increases the appetite, insures sound, refreshing sleep, banishes catarrh of the head and takes the pain out of rheumatic joints. Mr. Powers, the well known Dreco expert, has headquarters at Thistlethwalte's drug store. Sixth and Main streets, to meet the local public and explain the merits of this great remdr. Se hliJ today. Why Acid-Stomach Causes So Much Bad Health
Many people seem to think that acidstomach is of little importance; that it merely causes some slight trouble such as belching, heartburn, sour, gassy stomach, food-repeating, bloat, etc. If those same people would only realize the real truth about acid-etomach and when these first symptoms appear would at once start to get rid of them, what a crushing load of awful suffering, misery and ill-health would be lifted from mankind! Do you realize that the ill effects of an acidstomach extend throughout the entire system and more or less affect practically every organ and tissue of the human body? Well, it's a fact. For that matter, few people realize that one of the chief causes of tooth decay is a tasteless acid that forms in the mouth acid-mo!-h the dentists call it. And so with acid-stomach vou can't always feel its actual presence but it keeps right on creating serious damage throughout the entire system nevertheless. For instance, probably few people would ever think that there could be any connection between an acid-stomach and dandruff and falling hair; or between an acid-stomach and a gouty foot. Nevertheless there is a direct connection. Aci Stomach interferes with digestion and assimilation. It causes the food to ferment.
Makes the stomach sour and creates gases. That's what causes those acute stomach pains of indigestion, that miserable bloated feeling after eating , heartburn, belching, food-repeating, etc. Now of course the right thing to do is to get rid of the acid-stomach so that the food will ds properly digested. Nature will do the rest. There is a quick and easy way to do this. A wonderful new discovery makes it possible to remove acid-stomach without the slightest discomfort. It is called EATONIC, made in the form of tablets they are good to eat just like a bit of candy. EATONIC quickly banishes bloat, heartburn, belching, food-repeating, indigestion, etc. A marked improvement in one's general health speedily follows the U6e of EATONIC. There is better appetite, better digestion, more Btrength, vim and vigor. EATONIC is to be bi at all drug stores. Your druggist is authorized to refund youf money if you are not satisfied.

Shelter Means Saving! The time of year is at hand whefo the word "SHELTER" looms up as about the biggest in the dictionary. If you, who read this are a farmer, or own a farm, you will do well to consider what statistics have developed in that it is authentically known that inadequate protection from the elements kills more young stock than disease. If you are not a farmer, experience no doubt has proved the damage due to the leaky roof or the bursted water pipe which froze through lack of proper housing, spreading irreparable devastation throughout the entire house. If it were possible to estimate the loss every year in the U.' S. alone through failure to make these timely repairs the total would foot up alongside one of the larger liberty loans representing a big percentage of profits on all enterprises which include buildings as essentials.
