Note Throws Bomb Scare Into Chicago's Police CHICAGO. Nov. 7. Finding of a note in the Chicago Federal Building Friday afternoon telling of a plot to blow up the structure, resulted in the rushing of several details of police to the building. The note, which was found on a ledge of the railing surrounding the rotunda on the third floor, read as follows: "At 2:30 p. m. Beware.
