BIG SUGAR PLANT RUNNING
(By Associated Press) DECATUR, Ind.. Nov. 3 The Hol-land-SL Louis Sugar company, one of the largest sugar refining concerns in the United States, has started operation here, and in a short time is expected to relieve materially the present sugar shortage in Indiana. The factory has reached a capacity run of its product, which is about 100 tons of sugar a day. Officials of the Decatur company have decided to allot the product and believe that parts of the state' most in need of sugar will be served first. The period of operation of the plant generally lasts about seventy days, depending upon the supply of beets, which this year, will come from more than 6,000 acres that have been harvested.
