ARMY RESERVES GIVEN BEATING IN SUNDAY GAME

Outweighed and Outclassed,

Richmond Eleven Gets

Worst of 91-0 Score.

PORTLAND, Ind.. Oct. 20 Although inakir.g a game fight, Richmond's Independent football team was hopelessly outclassed by the fast and heavy Portland eleven, and were defeated here yesterday afternoon, 91 to 0. Portland's team outweighed the Reserves approximately 25 pounds to the man, and the light weight of Sheridan's team was unable to withstand the attack. Portland started the scoring with a touchdown, following a long end run by Captain Brady, in less than 5 minutes of play, and for the rest of the game, the Reserves were not within striking distance of Portland's goal. The first half ended with the score 45 to 0. Portland opened the second half of the game with some lighter men, and the Reserves were able to hold them to fewer points. Toward the last of the game, the regulars returned to the Portland line-up, and continued romping through the Richmond lino. Game Was Free. Although there were several injuries sustained by Richmond players, the game as a whole was unusually free from roughness. Breide, halfback Jid captain, was the star of Portland's aggregation, and his end runs were responsible for the majority or Portland's gains. Richmond's Injuries were caused largely by the inoqual weight of the two teams. The work of the entire Reserve backfield was very good, and the backs showed up well against their opponents. Harold Norris, former high school athlete, had his shoulder dislocated and had to be taken from the game in the second period. Rife, Reserve tnd, dislocated his knee and also had to be taken from the field. Several others sustained minor bruises and sprains'.

and the Standard of Efficiency on All Railroads for More than so years -Surely it's Good Enough for You

It's not the big clock in the station that keeps your train on time. Railroad schedules are so complex these days that to avoid confusion and delay trains must keep close to schedule every mile of the way. For every train, on every time-table, there" are dozens of men dispatchers, conductors, engineers who work with an eye always on their watches. They time their trains with the watches they carry. Were these watches inaccurate, time-tables would lose half their dependability and convenience. Since the manufacture of Hamilton Watches was begun, nearly thirty years ago, the story of Hamilton's remarkable accuracy has spread to railroad yards and roundhouses the

country over. Today, the Hamilton is by far the most popular watch in use on America's railroads. When you get your Hamilton, it will help you to catch your train as it helps the railroad man put that train into your station on time. And by just so many times as you consult your watch each day, will you profit by having Hamilton time accurate time. Make Your Gift a Hamilton A Hamilton watch makes the ideal gift a lifelong inspiration and remind to one you love, a fitting reward for unusual achievement. There's accuracy, beauty and enduring service in the Hamilton an appropriate gift for any occasion, any season.

There's a Hamilton Watch to Meet Your Requirements $32.00 to $210.00

The First of the Ways is Floor Heating. The Second is heating by radiation and circulation. The Third is upstairs heating by double heating attachment. All of which means the proper soft coal heating stove to heat the house. A straight draft stove cannot be a fire and heat keeper until It is perfectly mounted and fitted. The fire pot angle reflects heat to the floor. The casing creates circulation above the fire pot absorbs the body heat th3t would reflect into your face, multiplies it bv m.r.v times by keeping it in motion and sends it cut into all parts of the rooms. Also sends it to rooms overhead, if you connect the pipe to utilize the double heater. Ask to see the Three-Way Heater.
