POLAND FACING ' REVOLUTION, SAYS JAN PADEREWSKI Country Tottering on the Brink of German Revolution Must Have Supplies. PARIS, Oct. 6. Ignace Paderekskl,

premier of Poland, who is in Paris fighting to obtain from the allies, vital supplies for the Polish nation, stated

Sunday that revolution is threatened in Poland unless the allies take immediate steps to alleviate conditions in the nation. If the revolution materializes, Germany, the premier said, will gain not only control of Poland, but of Russia as well. "Long ago," he added. "I told Americans that though the war be won on the western front, Germany would be the victor unless defeated decisively on the eastern battlefields. The events of today are justifying that prediction. Poland is the sole barrier between Russia's wealth and German ambition. Tottering on Brink. "We are tottering on the brink of Teuton conquest, while all the world, hyponotized by the German debacle in France and Belgium, is plans of conquest to the eastward. "Poland is ready and able to avert

a world tragedy at the expense of its own strength and blood, but first it must have warm clothes for its army to forestall serious trouble. Later, we will require civilian clothing, 500 locomotives, 3,000 cars and also 25,000 bales of cotton monthly to support our textile industries. For these, Poland offers the world freedom to-morrow in exchange for her own life today."

What Thousands Have Found Gives Relief From This Painful Trouble.

1

Rheumatism is a constitutional disease, manifesting itself in local aches and nains. inflamed joints and stiff

muscles. It cannot be cured by local or external applications. It must have constitutional treatment. Take a course of the great bloodpurifying and tonic medicine, Hood's Sarsaparilla, which corrects the acid condition of the blood on which rheumatism depends, and gives permanent relief. This medicine combines, with excellent alteratives and tonics, what is generally conceded to be the most effective agent in the treatment of this disease. If a cathartic or laxative is needed take Hood's Pills. Purely vegetable. Adv.
