ONLY A FEW MEM APPRECIATE MILLION DUTIES THEIR WIVES PERFORM FOR HOME HAPPINESS
Thousands of Women Enjoy Housework, While Many Find It a Drudgery. Few men realize the million steps a woman takes and the other things she does to keep their homes cozy and clean. She washes the dishes, mends the clothes attends the children and performs other household duties by the score. Only women know the true meaning of housework and the physical strength it takes to endure It. Thousands of women have increased their physical strength by taking Pepgen until work that was a drudgery became a pleasure. It has been admitted that ills peculiar to women, In most cases, start In the stomach, and Pepgen is a wonderful stomach tonic. Some women are compelled to He down at frequent intervals during the day. This, of course, is due to weakness, the forerunner of serious ills to follow. At first there will be langour, especially in the morning; faintness. dizziness or sinking sensations In the region of the stomach. Digestion becomes impaired. Then comes palpitation of the heart, shortness of breath on any slight exertion, cold hands and feet, headaches, paleness, dark circles under the eyes, a dragging pain across the hips; the memory becomes poor, the disposition irritable and nervous, the least noise or unusual occurance upsets the nerves. Such complaints quickly destroy the complexion, making it yellow or greenish looking with brown spots or blotches, the cheeks become sunken. All of these symptoms are caused by impoverished blood and when the blood is impoverished, it is almost always due to faulty digestion the blood does not receive nourishment from the food because the stomach fails to act properly. When digestion is good, the blood is good and then tho nerves and organs are nourished and strength is the result. This is plain common sense. Pepgen is a tonic that aid3 digestion and thereby assists the nerves. helps the kidneys, induces refreshing sleep and promotes itrength in a gen eral way. Those who wish to know more of Pepgen may do so at Thistlethwaite's and other first class drug stores ev erywhere. Adv. MOST PROMINENT PERSONS GLAD TO GIVE TESTIMONY Men and women who have been relieved of suffering by Pepgen are glad to relate their experiences. They are prompted by the humanitarian spirit of wishing to help those who suffer as they did before they took this great tonic. They are grateful to Pepgen and voluntarily tell what it has done' for them. People who have indigestion, which long unchecked has weakened their system, are usually very nervous. They are irritable and lack energy and ambition for their work. They are easily discouraged and become melancholy over slight matters. They are tortured with backaches, poor memory and unsound sleep that does not really rest them. Their blood becomes thin, which affects the kidneys, liver and even the mucous membranes. Then comes catarrhal troubles and general breakdown. Pepgen being a tonic as well as a stimulant to the digestive process, is well designed to overcome, and also prevent those conditions. While it is true that the success of Pepgen has been so great as to amaze certain druggists and physicians, it really, also js true that Pepgen is no more popular in one city than it is in another wherever it has been introduced. Pepgen reaches ills of the stomach, kidneys, liver and the common maladies of the day the strength sappinglethargy creating ailments that get your nerve, whether you be merchant or artisan, employer or employe, man or woman. Pepgen has a delightful, appetizing sassafras flavor. Adv. BEAUTY SLEEP IS BEFORE MIDNIGHT It is claimed by good authority that one hour of sleep before midnight is worth two hours' sleep at any other time. The best sleep, before midnight, is the beauty sleep it refreshens and rejuvenates the system. We go to bed tired in mind and body and if our sleep 13 good we arise feeling fine. Cares that seemed great as mountains upon going to bed are as nothing In the morning. Truly sound sleep is the regular shop for the body. Miserable, indeed. Is the person who cannot sleep soundly. When a man lies In bed and hears the clock strike hour after hour his nervous system Is shattered. Pepgen has brought sound, healthy sleep to many a nervous person. Why? Because Pepgen, through its Influence on the digestive process, makes new, rich vitalizing blood and therefore more nerve force, which is the throttle that controls sleep. If you are nervous and want more sleep, If you lack vitality, the rapid building up action of Pepgen will surprise you. Adv.
ENTERS LIKE A THIEF IN DEAD OF THE NIGHT
Like a thief enters a house In the dead of the night, stomach trouble enters the system it gives no warning. Before you know it you have stomach trouble and when once it Is well established It is usually very hard to overcome. At the first sign of stomach trouble you should do something to relieve it. One of the most reasonable treatments is Pepgen. Pepgen not only aids digestion, but It enriches the blood and thereby causes growth or sound tissues. When stomach trouble is allowed to make inroads upon the system it affects every organ in the body and will finally produce a condition known as systemic catarrh. The circulation becomes poor. The patient has a general despondent feeling. Sometimes the state of health thus produced resembles chronic malaria and again it resembles nervous prostration. The kidneys become deranged, also the bladder is irritated. Then comes paina and cramps after eating, backaches upon arising in the morning and many other ills too numerous .to mention. When you don't feel right try "first aid" through the stomach. Place your digestive organs in good repair and from this "hot bed" of human ills a powerful influence Is sent to every portion of the body. Pepgen is composed of vegetable Ingredients selected for their purity and potency. Weak, nervous, run-down men and women who need better digestion should learn of Pepgen. It has the invigorating, appetizing flavor of sassafras. Adv. Pure Cascara Is A Fine Laxative Should Be Mixed With Senna Leaves to Secure Best Results. There is probably no better laxative known than pure cascara. but cascara alone will not always relieve an aggravated case of constipation. Senna leaves have been used from time immemorial to relieve a congested condition of the bowels and never yet has anything been discovered to surpass their effects. But senna leaves alone, like cascara alone, will not always answer the problem. To get best results senna leaves and cascara should be mixed. A little dose of each is like two small horses pulling together in the same direction, they always outpull one large horse of equal weight. To get right proportions of each ingredient requires a chemist's skill but you can obtain tablets, already prepared, under the name of Pepgen Laxative Tablets, at any first-class drug store. Adv.
CONTAINS NO ALCOHOL, WINE OR SPIRITS TO CREATE FALSE SENSATIONS OF TEMPORARY HELP
Pepgen is not a secret remedy. The formula is printed on the back of every package. It contains only remedies of approved and recognized merit. All of the Ingredients are carefully selected and scientifically compounded by the special Pepgen Process In which no alcohol is used. Persons with kidney ills should care fully avoid alcohol. Alcohol is very bad for people who are subject to rheumatism and even the slightest amount of this stimulant sometimes produces an attack. In Pepgen will be found peppermint leaves, used to stop nausea, relieve spasmodic pains in the stomach and
COMPARES THE HUMAN BODY TO A STEAM BOILER; AN EXCESSIVE STRAIN GREATLY WEAKENS BOTH
When a boiler carries more steam than is necessary, it is under too big a strain, and Is weakened. When tha body is overtaxed by excessive nerve force, it is quickly broken down. There are many people who need some sort of a tonic to take care of this extra strain. The most natural remedy would be a stopping for needed rest and refreshment. However, the stress of our labors, the cares and the duties of the household, the constant attention demanded of the farmer by his fields and stock do not admit of rest. To restore the body In the natural way, by rest, would often spell financial ruin, so the average man and
IF NOBODY LOVES FAT MEN DO THEY ALL LIKE LEAN?
Perhaps nobody loves a fat man but it is a settled bit of philosophy that the too slender man or woman rarely Is happy in that condition. A gain In flesh is often the hallmark of returning health and the hlgh! sign of a better disposition. To bring about the gain naturally and wholesomely the stomach must work at its best. The experience of people with Pepgen has been a striking on in this respect. Not only is Pepgen an IdeaV stomach medicine, relieving those symptoms which are so distressing to dyspeptics, such as gas and bloating after meals, sour taste in the mouth and belching, but it goes to the foundation of weakness and assists Nature in building muscle and tissue. Healthy tissue 13 produced by good rich blood; healthy tissue is pure1 strength which rounds the form with, grace and loveliness. Health is desired first, but what woman would cast aside more beauty?' Pepgen through its tonic effects i food for the muscles, rest for tho nerves, vitality for the digestive organs, activity for the brain, liveliness for the kidneys and action for th liver. Adv. A NEW SPECIAL FULL VESTIBULE Come get on the Pepgen Special, all Pullman, full vestibuled, and eat in the diner a meal to your heart's content. Let the new special take you on a journey without leaving your home and without spending a fortune. You positively won't know yourself when you get back from the trip. Your Intimate friends won't know you either, because you will look so hearty and well. You won't feel "grouchy"' when you see the dinner table because you will be able to enjoy your meals. Pepgen will have relieved your stomach ills. Taking Pepgen is like visiting a swell health resort it makes you feel rested. It gives fuch eas" to stomach pains no more gas or bloating after meals. If you are out of sorts and want to get back in trim, take Pepgen for just a few weeks. f Be honest. Doesn't your family "get on" your nerves? Aren't sonm of your neighbors tiresome? If you answer "yes" to these questions then you know you need Pepgen. Thousands recommend it Pepgen begins its action by stimulating the digestive organs. Next Pepgen acts upon the entire system as a builder because it makes it possible for the human engine to properly convert the food products into bone, blood end muscle. To the automobilist it might be said that Pepgen acts as a spark and plug in the human mechanism. It starts the vital machinery and then keeps it going at the proper speed. Adv. bowels and expel gas. Gentian root, which possesses tonic properties in a high degree. It aids and invigorates digestion. Peruvian Bark, an antimalarial agent, from which quinine is made, is of service in debility, wasting diseases, pallor, impoverished blood and feeble recuperaatlve powers. Fringe Tree Bark exerts a special Influence upon the liver. It is of benefit where there is yellowness of the skin and eyes and a sense of uneasiness on the right side. Black Cohosh, through its influence upon the muscular system, is recommended for rehumatism, neuralgia and lumbago. Plantain Leaves contain properties valuable in kidney and bladder derangements. Adv. woman Just "keeps on going." The tissues of the body become weakened, the stomach revolts, the liver fails to do its work and then follow dyspepsia, Indigestion, dizziness, heartburn, headaches and later come rheumatic pains and catarrhal symptoms. The most reasonable, rational method of restoring health, when weakness first appears is by the "Tonic Route." A tonic builds, refreshens and rejuvenates. Pepgen has been proclaimed by hundreds as the most valu-. able of all tonics. ' Pepgen is especially intended for ervous, run-down men and women who have poor digestion and who cannot sleep soundly. It promotes strength and energy for work. Ady.
