Better Conditions Are Demanded by Chilean (By Associated Press) SANTIAGO. Chile, August 30. Eighty thousand workmen and students participated in a demonstration here Friday, asking the government to augment production, stabilize money and bring about better economic conditions for working men and employes. The minister of the interior promised that measures would be taken to remedy the situation. Meetings were held throughout the country for the same purpose, but there was no disorder anywhere.

Whether the mission of the Prohibition party haa been accomplished with national pro hlbition scheduled to become effective next January 16 by constitutional amendment or whether it should continue on the issue of law enforcement, or be reorganized for world phohlbition are questions for the national committee to solve September 1. The leaders hold varying opinions and the future of the national Prohibition par. ty Is in doubt. The national committee's meeting will be in conjunction with the celebration of the fiftieth anniversary of the founding of the party. Two men who were in the organisation fifty years ago will be present to talk on the history of the half century. They are Col. John Sobieski. once exiled from Poland for political reasons and who recently refused a throne which Polish imperialists wished to establish with the freeing of their native land in the world war, and H.
