A bomb was tossed into local political circles yesterday when the announcement was made that Thomas Wylie was considering becoming a candidate for mayor this fall. Mr. Wylie is a retired lawyer, having for several years been head of the legal staff of the National Cash Register company, in Dayton. At present he devotes his time to the management of a large farm near this village. He was once mayor of Ripley, Ohio. Mr. Wylie was called upon yesterday by a committee of citizens, who urged him to permit his name to be used in the mayoralty race. He has the matter under advisement.
