PAGE SEVEN BRINGING UP FATHER By McManus Miss Gordon enacts the role of a young favorite of fashion, who finds life empty, despite her riches, and seeks idle diversion In tenement visiting. What happens to her there forms the thread of the powerful story and is said to lead to a striking climax, and a denouement -which stamps "Playthings of Passion" as perhaps the most remarkable screen vehicle of the year.
