HOUSEHOLD HINTS I By" Mrs. Morton J
TESTED RECIPES Bread Crumb Omelet Mix one-half cup bread crumbs with one-half cup milk. Beat the whites and the yolks of two eggs separately. Add the bread crumbs and the milk to the yolk and season. Cut the stiffly beaten whites Into yolks, turn Into a hot omelet pan In which one teaspoon fat has been melted. Allow It to become firm and brown on the bottom; put in oven and dry out the top, fold and serve Immediately. In these days when eggs are so expensive, this omelet is
a great help to the housewife in that ii goes twice as far as an ordinary omelet and Is also delicious and nutritious. Bread and CheM Souffle Add to two cups of thick cream sauce onequarter cup snappy cheese and stir over the fire until cheese Is melted. Line the bottom of a casserole or baking dish with bread, pour over
some of the cream sauce, put In another layer of bread and more cream sauce, etc. This recipe takes about six slices of bread. Put in the oven for about twenty minutes to heat the
bread through. Dry bread can be very
economically used in this recipe by
just softening It in the milk out of which you Intend to make the cream
sauce.

They re Going To Be Longer And Narrower In Boston
HEART AND BEAUTY PROBLEMS By Mr. Elizabeth Thompson
Dear Mrs. Thompson r I am eighteen year old and graduated from high school this June. Since I am of age I am certainly a young lady and old enough to be treated as such by my own family. I have an older sister who was allowed to entertain boys when she was sixteen. At the ago of sixteen she went to work and was allowed to spend all but $10 a month on herself. I was forced to graduate from high school and now that I have done 60 I am told that I cannot go to work but will have to stay at home and help mother with the housework. I have no pretty clothes and no spending money. Besides this, my sister is considered the only young lady In our family and she is allowed to entertain all the young men Bhe wants to, while I am not allowed to entertain any one. Do you think this Is fair? And what shall I do to make them see that I am grown up now? ELSIB. Tou are certainly a young lady now and should be allowed to entertain young men at your home. Is there no one in your family to plead your case your father, mother or siBter Perhaps if you reason with them you can help them to see your point of view. Do not rebel against staying at home to help mother. It is only right of course, that you should have an allowance for staying at home. In case you receive no spending money after doing your part for a few months you will be justified in insisting that your parents permit you to work outside the home. You and your sister could contribute toward paying a maid to help your mother. Do your very best to co-operate with the wishes of your parents, because when they 6ee that you are trying to do your part they will be al lthe more willing to do things for you. Dear Mrs. Thompson: Is it all right to take garden flowers to the home of a boy friend who is sick? One of the neighbor boys who lives about ten houses away from me has had pneumonia. We have beautiful
poppies ana roses in our yara auu i would like to take him some. Do you think it would bo all right for me to do so? DOUBTFUL. Yes. Dear Mrs. Thompson: Seven years ago I met my brother-in-law's brother. Although he and I were in our teens we thought we were in love. After the two weeks we spent together he went to his home and I went to mine. Last winter he wrote that he wanted to spend his vacation with me this year at some summer resort. We have the place all picked out. I expected my mother to chaperone us, but now she says she doesn't want to. Would it be all right for me to go alone 6ince I know I will do the right thing? I have a young married friend who would like to go but she cannot afford it. Do you think it would be all right for my boy friend and me to take her along and pay her expenses between us? I think she would go if she thought she could help me 'by doing so. She is five years older than I am. MABEL. You should not go to a summer resort without a chaperone. People are so eager to talk that they will iind something to say even if a girl knows she is doing the right thing. Convention says that a chaperone is necessary under circumstances like yours, and convention should be respected in this instance.
It would bo all right for the two of
you to pay the expenses of your married friend and ask her to go along as your chaperone. Dear Mrs. Thompson: Would you advise me to have my eyebrows made narrow? My cousin from New York has come to see me and she has the prettiest eyebrowB I have ever seen. They are so arched and perfectly shaped. I would like to have eyebrows like hers. She says she knows how to remove the superfluous hair and she can do It for me. Shall I have it done? ROSE T. I would not have anything done to my eyebrows if I were you. The hair will come back thicker and coarser and will make the brows ill shaped. I have seen brows edged with short, bristling hair, and they were anything but attractive.
Dear Mrs. Thompson: What do you think of a young man who takes a girl's ring and does not return it? My girl friend and I were at a show and her boy friend and another boy were at the eame show. They took us home and we all went to my girl friend's house for awhile. Then the boy tpok me home. On the way he teased to wear my ring. I gave it to him thinking he would give it back to me the next time he came to see me. He has not come to see me and I don't think he will. He has had the ring seven weeks. What shall I do? Write him a letter and ask him to bring the ring to me? My girl friend has not seen her boy friend eince that night either. WORRIED. Write to the boy and ask him to kindly return the ring. It will not be necessary to suggest the means by which he can get it to you. Doubtless he will respect your request and find a way to get it to you.
BOSTON, Mass., July 7. Boston women are going to wear 'em longer and narrower despite the edict of the Chicago dress-making convention that skirts are to be shorter and fuller. At Chicago it was declared that skirts were to be seven inches from the ground and much fuller in an effort to get away from the clinging styles.
But Boston dressmakers are seemingly paying no attention to the edict. Their designs for the fall are along
the narrow and silhouetty lines.

Men Hair rowth after BALDHESS HAIR GROWN ON MR. BRITTAIN'S BALD HEAD BY. INDIANS' MYSTERIOUS HAIR GROWER
My head at the top and back was absolutely laid. The ic1p was shiny. An expert said that aa he thought the hair roota wer extinct, and there was no hope of my ever hvkng; a new hair growth. Tet now, at an age over 66, I have a luxuriant growth of soft strong, lustrous hair! No trace of baldness. The pictures showa her are from my photographs. Indians' Secret ol Hair Growth
At a time when I had become discouraged at trying various hair lotions, tonics, specialists' treatments, etc., I came across, in my travels, a
ineroxee inaian medicine man who had an
elixir that he asseverated would grow my hair. Although I had but little faith. I gave it a trial.
To my amazement light fuzz soon appeared. It developed, day by day. Into a healthy zrowtn, and ere long my hair was as dtoUSo &i in
my youthful days. That I was astonished and happy is expressing my state of mind mildly. Obviously, the hair roots had not been dead, but were dormant in the scalp, awaiting the fertilizing potency of the mysterious pomade. I negotiated for and came into possession of the principle for preparing this mysterious elixir, cow called Kotalko, and later had
Photo when bald. That my own hair growth was permanent has been amply proved. Many man and women, also children, have reported satisfactory results from KotilVo. How YOU May Grow YOUR Hair My honest belief is that hair roota rarely die even when,
the hair falls out through dandruff, fever, excessive dryness
or other disorders. 1 nave Deen tola oy experts that often when hair falls out the roots become imbedded within the scalp, covered by hard skin, so that they remain for a time like bulbs or seeds in a bottle which will gTOw when fertilised. Shampoos (which contain alkalis) and hair lotions whicn contain alcohol ara enemies to the hair, as they dry it. making it brittle. Kotalko containa those, elements of nature which givej naw vitality to the scalp and hair.
