Union City To Postpone Erection Of New School WINCHESTER. July 5. Union City is facing great difficulty id raising money for the new school building and will probably not attempt to build this year. They have only about $100,000 and had expected to build a $200,000 building. The building was burned last winter, and the children will probably have to occupy churches and vacant rooms again this winter. The building is supposed to have been set on fire by a small boy. Union City had no regular Fourth of July celebration this year but the Country club threw open the club grounds, to guests for the day. For the golf players a unique flag contest was offered. A number of picnic parties participated in the festivities. The fireworks were much enjoyed by the children.
