GRAIN QUOTATIONS
E. W. WAGNER 4. CO.'S LETTER CHICAGO. July 2. Snow's guess of twenty-seven hundred and thirty five million corn start outlines the smallest crop since 1911, when July 1st estimates suggested twenty-six hundred eighty-eight million, and final crop ran twenty-five hundred thirty-one million. The guess is another link in the five months run of news that has tended to tighten the oorn market, and after five months run of newa there it apparently no change. There are no sellers ; no bears of consequence. Hogs. $22.00, a new high, and the market shows no signs of easing up to give the poor old tired public a chance. Hot spell with temperature 88 to 100 has hit the corn belt. Just how the general provision and corn situation is to chance is not indicated.
Julius Barnes replaces Hoover on the
U. S. Grain Corporation and Hoover resigns from the European Food com
mission. Only moderate dips are to
be expected in corn and oats.

Whose record will remain clear? Below are the fighting records of
Dempsey ana WlUard. one of which
will change after July 4. Willard's)
record, which began in 1911, has not changed since 1915, when he won the
championship at Havana, whereas Dempsey had only started to fight at
that time.
Fans are of the opinion that Demp
sey will be better acquaiated with the
ring, due to his numerous bouts dur-J
ing the last two years, while Willard
has been practically idle, but followers of the champion declare that he is in the best of condition, and will be able to withstand the youngsters' onslaughts. The following are the jobbing prices on produce in Richmond today Eggs Dozen, candled, 39 cents; creamery butter, 53 cents. "The following prices are being paid today for produce by Richmond jobbers: Eggs, per dozen, 34 cents ; old chickens, per lb., 22 cents; frying chickens, per lb., 35 cents. INQUEST TO (Continued from Page One) sheriff was also visited by four women this afternoon, who asked that some official action be taken in the matter. Dr. Krueger, in a statement made today, said that be regretted exceedingly the fact that the body had been uncovered. "My only desire was to dispose of the child so that it would not be brought to light again. I tried to take it to the crematory yesterday noon, but inasmuch as there was no fire there, I did not leave it. Later, while passing the dump, I noticed that they had been throwing dirt there, and I decided that it would be a good place to put it and that It would soon be covered. "It is a very deplorable case, but one that I have come in contact with several times, and during my term as county health officer, I often advised other physicians to dispose of these monstrosities in a similar manner," Dr. Krueger said. Dr. Kinsey. who examined the child Tuesday night, made the following statement Wednesday: "From casual appearances, the child was well developed physically. The brain however, was entirely exposed, there being neither skull or scalp. In my opinion, the fact that the baby was thrown down fifty feet into a dump, undoubtedly contributed to its death. The intent of killing the child is very plain, and In my opinion, Dr. Krueger was guilty of manslaughter, or assault with Intent to kill at the least"
