BOXERS TO GO INTO RING WITH HftNDSjJNTAPED Final Arrangements Are Made for BiFight, at Meeting of Principals. (By A.socltd Pr) TOLEDO, O., July 1 Jess WilUrd and Jack Dempsey will go Into the ring for the heavyweight champion
ship contest here Friday with bare hands, and all bandaging and taping will be done in view of the spectators
and seconds of the heavyweight rivals. This announcement was made today by Tex Rlckard, promoter of
the contest. The decision to request the boxers to bandage their hands in the ring is regarded as a victory for Willard, who protested against Dempsey's plans to adjust the tape and bandages on his hands while in the dressing room.
What amount of tape and bandages will be used has not been determined but Willard said he would Insist upon
a thin layer of cotton surgical bandages, and only enough tape to head
the bandages in place. Rickard and the referee, Ollie Pecord, probably will make a decision in that regard
tomorrow.
Final arrangements regarding the
details of the big contest were completed at a conference between the boxers, managers and Rickard and each camp knows just what is expected of the principals and their seconding brigade. The boxers will wear specially made' five ounce gloves and each will be allowed to have five seconds -in their corners, including the manage er or advisor as the case may be. They will dress for the encounter in dressing rooms, erected under the stands and will enter the ring from ramps which open within a few feet of the. ring. The loss for choice of corners will not be made until the day of battle. Never Greased Body. Willard inquired whether Dempsey intended to grease his body for the contest as be bad heard was being done previous to the daily work-outs. He said that it did not make any difference to him which , way the challenger appeared provided he knew in advance and could do likewise. Dempsey told Rickard that be had never greased his body at any time and had no intention of doing so for the championship bout. This statement cleared the situation and there will be no anointing the body with oily matter at any time during the last few hours before the clash. While this is a favorite trick of wrestlers it is not the usual custom among boxerB although offering certain advantages in a long fight. The oil or grease rubbed into the skin, until absorbed by the pores, immediately comes to the surface when the athlete begins to perspire, and soon his body -slippery tfcaMtis impossible to secure a firm hold or clinch in either wrestling or boxing as the case may be.

Is the Happiest Woman in State Mrs. Poe Says
Rejoices Over Remarkable Recovery by Tanlac Gains Thirty Pounds. "The results I have gotten from Tanlac are so wonderful that I feel compelled to tell everybody about it," said Mre John Poe of 601 South Third street, Pekin, Illinois, while in the Sutliff & Case Drug store at Peoria, recently. "I don't believe," she continued, "anyone could suffer much more than I did before I got Tanlac, and my recovery has made me the happiest woman in Illinois. You would hardly bcSieve me when when I tell you I have gained more than thirty pounds, but I have, and my daughter here with me will tell you the same thing. Why, my stomach was in such bad fix that everything I ate caused me to suffer agony. Time after time during the past fifteen years the gas would press on my heart so that I would faint. Great drops of perspiration would stand out on me, and when I regained consciousness, I would be as limp as a rag. Lots of times my neighbors would come in, thinking I was going to die. I didn't dare go any Dlace for fear one of these snells
J would come on me and I wouldn't get
home. I also suffered beyond words to tell with rheumatism in my feet and legs and elbows. I coulnd't get my shoes on at times for the swelling in my feet and would have to sit for days with my feet on a pillow in a chair, they hurt me so. My elbows were so stiff I could scarcely bend them and the pain was so great that I could scarcefcr ;use my arms at all. My misery wa'so awful that I couldn't sleep but little and I have stayed awake many a night suffering and wondering if there was nothing made that could help me. "I have taken medicine until I was
so discouraged and despondent that I didn't care how soon the end came, for I felt that it wasn't far off. My husband urged me to get Tanlac and. oh, how glad I am that I did, for I began to eat and sleep better in just to or three days after I began taking it. My troubles have all disappeared now and my recovery is the gladdest surprise that ever came to me. I can eat just anything I want and lots of it and never suffer a particle from it. In fact, my stomach seems to be in perfect condition, as good as when I was a girl, and I haven't had one of those awful smothering, fainting spells since I began taking Tanlac, and as to the rheumatism, I never feel a sign of it any more-. My head used to feel dull and hurt me in the mornings, but that is all gone, too, and I don't reckon anyone ever had more cause to feel thankful than I have. I just feel like I owe my life to Tanlac and I only wish I had known about It long ago." Tanlac is sold In Richmond by Clem Thistlethwaite's stores, and the leading druggist In every town. Adv.

FOR A 100 PER CENT VACATION
The 1919 vacation crop is headed to break all records. The only vacation most men got last year was a change of clothes and a pressing invitation to board with Uncle Samuel. Men too old to fight stuck to their desks or machines. But we're off that war stuff now. and we want to be in trim for the big business that's just around the corner. So vacations are again in order. Going on a vacation is like getting married. You've got to be dressed for it. Those every-day things, good enough for home, aren't good enough for a vacation. v
