BUILD NOW "Production Depends on Construction" U. S. Dept. of Labor, W. B. Wilson, Secretary. Cutting down production, producing less food, bss clothing, less fuel, never has and never will reduce prices. Increased production is the answer to the question of how we can reduce living costs. We must have production if we are to have lower living costs. In modern industry production is stimulated by construction. Building is a basic industry. If you build a home you make business for more than a hundred correlated and contributing industries. Each building erected sends its wave of demand through the industrial organization, from the ditch diggers to the bank presidents and back, and, by way of pay envelopes, to the ditch diggergain. An immediate resumption of building activities will do more than any one thing to stimulate general business and accelerate the transition of industry from war demobilization to the peace normal. Construction stimulates production it creates the demand and production must increase until it reaches the volume production necessary to decrease unit costs before prices are lower. Assist business and serve your own and the nation's interests BUILD

An Attractive Home This house will make a desirable home, being well arranged and of bright, pleas mg appearance. The design is very attractive and can be built at reasonable cost. The wide hall running through the center of the house is the main feature. Library, parlor, dining room, kitchen and pantry make a very complete first floor plan. There are both front and rear porches. On the second floor are four bright bedrooms, all with ample closet space, and the bath room is conveniently located. Clyde Smith Adams. Architect. SAVING RELIGIOUS ACT
The people of Richmond have nobly done their part in assisting the Government to carry her share of responsibility in the winning of the great war. This has been evidenced by the manner in which all five of the Liberty Loans have been over-subscribed. Thousands of our people who were never "bond-holders" before, now take great pride in the savings which they have made through these Government investments. Now that the pressure of war is off, the sure tendency will be to cease saving and investing, and consume our earnings on living and pleasure. The habit of thrift of saving a part of our . weekly earnings should be continued with great assiduity. It is the way to selfrespect, to the ownership of your own home, the surest cure for Bolshevism. What is thrift? It is good management of the business of living. Thrift is wise spending of time and money getting the most out of one's time, getting the most out of one's strength, getting the most out of one's earnings. Thrift means thought, so that whims may not run away with the things we really need. Thrift means forethought, so that large ends may not be sacrificed to the moment's pleasure.
Thrift means sense of value so that every minute and every penny may enter at its proper rating in the permanent account of life and fortune. Thrift is command of opportunity, command of one's own. resolution, command of the present and future. The man who has mastered thrift is master of his fate. The people who have acquired thrift hold the reins of world supremacy. Thrift is, a good habit of mind and practice, and all children should be schooled in its possession. Indiana now leads in the Seventh Federal District in per capita sales of War Savings Stamps. We all should take pride in keeping Indiana at the very forefront in every worthy enterprise, whether of Government or local interest. "To set one's house in order" not only refers to the saving of one's soul, but also to the saving of a share of one's earnings to meet the needs of the closing days of one's earthly life. The very heart of genuine religion is the care of one's family. The purchase of a home to shelter your children is a religious act, besides being plain common sense.
Roof for the Future When you put on that new roof figure on putting on one that will stay there. We have been putting on a lot of roofs and tin work and know from experience what will be the best sort for you.
