MURRETTE From the standpoint of rapid action Elsie Ferguson's latest Artcraft picture, "Under the Greenwood Tree," which will be displayed at the Murrette theatre Wednesday and Thursday, is one of the best seen at Manager Grier's popular playhouse this season. It is a delightful photoplay and may be seen again and again with profit. The support is highly adequate.! y WASHINGTON "Society's Answer," which features in its cast two Richmond men, Louis Martin Emmons and Frederick Cates, is drawing large crowds to the Washington. The play shows the society folk at Palm Beach, and is set in beautiful scenery. The local men show more than amateur ability in their roles. Mr. Emmons appears as a wealthy manufacturer and Mr. Cates as his son, and the plot shows their call to duty through the war. A real "dancing nymph" who appears in some new Egyptian dances is a feature. The picture is shown here for the last time today. A question that is often asked in
connection with the recent war with
Germany is, "How did America, in
the space of months, overcome the
twenty or more years start that Germany had in the manufacture of war
materials of every description?" Those who know answer the ques-

"CAN I BE CURED?" SAYS THE SUFFERER How often have you heard that cad cry from the victims of disease. Perhaps the disorder has gone too far for help, but oftener it fs just in its first stages and the pains and aches are only nature's first cries for help. Do not despair. Find out the cause and give nature all the help you can and she will repay you with health. Look after the kidneys. The kidneys are the most overworked organs of the human body, and when they fail in their work of filtering and throwing off the poison that constantly accumulates in the system, everything goes wrong. GOLD MEDAL Haarlem Oil Capsules will give almost immediate relief from kidney and bladder troubles and their kindred ailments. They will free your body from pain in short order. But be sure to get GOLD MEDAL. Look for the name on every box. In three sixes, sealed packages. Money refunded if they do net help -v
tion in three words, "By quantity production." But this answer means little to the average person who has not seen the American method of quantity production In actual operation. The educational features starting at the Washington theatre this week will give such people a clearer Insight into how the feat was accomplished. The motor car industry, which has contributed so much to the manufacturing world in the way of straight line production methods and the elimination of lost motion and re-handling of materials, is the industry featured. Whether you are particularly interested in motor cars or not, you will be fascinated by the combination of precision and magnitude passing before your eyes. Close-ups of the important operations are shown liberally,
and anybody witnessing these typical ly American methods of building can
not but feel a trihU of pride at the
