UCHIlillL LCHDUC GAUEJUNDAY Newcastle to Play Richmond Club Here Gathering of Old Semi-Pros ' Expected. The opening game of the Northern Central baseball league will be played at Richmond at 3 o'clock next Sunday afternoon, at Exhibition park, between Richmond and Newcastle. , . The Richmond Exhibition company directors are gleaning nearby cities for baseball men of repute and expect to have a gathering of old players that will play Newcastle to a standstill Sunday. t So far only one player has been Becured. He is Jake Fromhols, a former Richmond Central league hurler. Besides playing at Richmond, Jake has played at almost all Central league Cities with success and played on the Cincinnati team for two years. Who will receive for Framhols is still an uncertainty but it is hoped that Mike Hauser can be there to hold down the back stop Job. Outside of those two players no others have been secured definitely. However, the Exhibition company has lines out for a number of first ball players that can stack up against a team like the Newcastle. Has Strono t-Inaun. xae nose wiiy nas always had one state. Manager Hartwell, who Is also vice-president of the eastern division of the league, will present one of his strongest lineup against the Quaker aggregation. Jimmie Hauser and Larson will come over to hurl for the Rose crew. George Yantx will receive. The remainder of the lineup will be as follows: Eddie Copeland. first base; Hartwell, second base; Dei trick, shortstop; Stupp. third base, and Williams, Dugey and Durham in the field.. Newcastle has already started hammering Richmond against the umpiring system, thinking it wise to create an alibi before the games than afterward. Newcastle seems slightly put out that the Quaker City managed to obtain a berth In the new league and is ready to start a fight for the pennant at the first drop of the hat. With Newcastle fans showing a spirit of push Richmond fans will have to do them one better and turn out In round numbers for the game next Sunday. Especial attention will be called to the list of Richmond players that obtain berths on the new club. It is almost certain that a number of Richmond players will be listed with the club and get a chance to show what local baseball talent Richmond has produced.
