OnlygFew-Scattering Leaf - Crops in Vicinity of Eaton ; Have Been Sold. . EATON,., 6.. -May to. Following their Indictment & recently on grand larceny charges,:, Karl Pine. Samuel Schneider and John Schllmiller, all of Daytan,;witt be tried here early In June In common please court. Judge Abel Rlsinger having Monday, assigned the cases for trial, upon the following dates: Schneider, June 10; Pine, June 11; Schllmiller, June 12. They are charged with stealing about two tons of mill feed from two farmers residing in the vicinity of West Alexandria. The case of William Mills and . Ransum L. Estis, under indictment tor grand larceny, will be tried June 16. It Is expected they will be tried jointly. They are alleged to have stolen an automobile from S. C. Richie, banker, of New Paris, which later was recovered -in Indianapolis. They are non-residents of Ohio and thus far have not appeared in court to plead to the indictments against them. They are at liberty under 400 bond each. - Sets Suit for May 27. Judge Abel Rlsinger has set the suit of John I Minnlx against the city for trial on May 27 in common pleaa eourt. - Minnlx Is suing the city for 13.500 damages for the death of his son, aged 6 years, who waa killed at the pumping station of the city waterworks a year ago when a tramway, ear used for conveying coal from the railway tracks to the pumping station "dumped" and crushed his headL- "The child and two otherolder boys were playing with the car when the accident happened. Tobacco Growers Confer. It was developed in a meeting of the tobacco growers of Preble county, held here Saturday evening that a few scattering crops of tobacco In the vidnlty of Lewisburg, Eldorado and West Alexandria had been sold to dealers at prices ranging from 12 to 16 cents a pound. Representatives from these localities reported the ales in the meeting, which was in the nature of a conference of growers from all sections of the country for the purpose of ascertaining accurate reports of just what was doing in the county among the growers. It is said that in only one instance waa a sale made by a member of the county growers' organization. No sales in the vicinity of Eaton were reported in the meeting. Divorce Action Hearing. Among assignnments made by Judge Abel Rlsinger, of common pleas court, is that of hearing of a motion and demurer In a divorce and alimony action brought by Nora Blackford against Samuel Blackford, of Dayton. The hearing has ben set for May 26. The motion is by Blackford, who
wants his wife's petition made more definite. The demurrer Is by Dora
Pryor, Blackford's sister, who is named a defendant in the alimony N' feature of the suit. She demurs on the ground that she is not a proper

Mrs. Mund Dead. S Mrs. Louis Mund died Monday morning in West Alexandria, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lewis M. Derby, according to advices received here by friends. Mrs. Mund' was the widow of Prof. Louis Mund, who died a few months ago at West Alexandria, at the Derby home. Prof, and Mrs. Mund came from Cincinnati to the home of their daughter several years ago, where they since had lived. Prof. Mund was for many years prominent In musical circles of Cincinnati. Mrs. Mund was probably past 70 years of age. Following funeral services Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock at the Derby home at West Alexandria, the remains will be taken to Cincinnati for burial In Spring Grove cemetery, the resting place of her husband. Drive Is Abandoned. Preble county will not enter the campaign now being waged by the National Home Service Fund of the
Salvation Army for an immense subscription. Plans to organize the county for the drive were under way, but Monday it was called off, because of the fact. It is said, that the county has a number of agencies .by which its worthy needy are reached. The county expected to raise $2,600, but it is said the money would have como back into the county for distribution among charitable organizations, as the city has no Salvation Army corps. Moves to New Quarters. Being forced to release his present location because of a rearrangement of the room for other purposes. Undertaker Ora Girt on has leased the east room of the John Gans building. East Main street, for his parlors, where he expects to bp onpratintc by June 1.
