Never before in the history of the Indiana Collegiate Athletic league
nave so many athletes participated in the annual track and field classic at. any college as will compete at Franklin college Saturday afternoon for the I. C. A. L. state championship.' Each college haa, almost a complete list of Its best athletes entered in the first big- after-war track and field meet held?for the last two years. Besides the track meet a baseball game will belayed, to decide the champion of the I. C. A. L. Early this year athletic directors adopted a new play which would eliminate the thickening Jumble they always got into at the close' of the season as to who was the champion and who was not, but adoption was all the farther it went.
Only two colleges followed out the
new plan, Butler and Normal. Frank
lin who claims the right to play the
nnai game has no such claim accord
ing to tnat plan, as no game was
scheduled with Earlham as it should have been. However, an announce
ment coming from Franklin says that college intends to play Normal for
nthe I. C. A. L. championship.
Two weeks ago when Franklin was
on the "shoofdown there was- sent broadcast a mighty kick that colleges were not living up to the original plans of the I. C. A. t. but Franklin commenced to win and now is satisfied to let well enough alone. As none of the schools with the exception of Normal and Butler lived up to the contract, they should play for the title but as that will not be fair the only method left Is to decide the title by comparative doping. Neither plan will effect Earlham as that team is n V M- - l.( l.t.1
It goes. ' Earlham Doped for First. Franklin track critics are doping Earlham to win about 25 points at the meet but intend for the Quakers to stop there. They also admit that both Wabash and Rose Poly will have some chance on the tracb? where Earlham is weak. In fact, according to the dope on which the Franklinites base their strongest claims for Franklin winning the meet, Earlham will step to- the front. Earlham has the strongest field aggregation that ever com- ' peted in the I. C. A. L. classic and with the other colleges dividing the firsts on the track and allowing the Quakers to annex some seconds and thirds, Earlham should emerge from the battle a victor. Professor R. Chester Roberts, faculty athletic manager for Franklin, completed the recording of entries and selecting officials for the various events yesterday. Ewald O. Stlehm, athletic director of, Indiana university, will be referee and starter for the track and field meet. Clarence Thurber (Purdue) will be head track and

How Jack hopes to get Jess and the heavyweight title by pounding Jess' body. These pictures show the relative sizes of Willard and Dempsey.
Jack Dempsey .cannot hope to outbox Jess Willard at long range when they meet July 4 because of
Willard's great reach. Jack, therefore, will pin his hopes on breaking through Willard's reach and
hammering on Willard's body. Whether Jack can dodge Willard's left remains to be seen.

Girls It, you want plenty of thick, beautiful, glossy, silky hair, do by all means get rid of dandruff, for it will starve your hair and ruin It if you don't it doesn't do much, good to try to brush or wash it out. The only sure way to get rid of dandruff Is to dissolve it, then you destroy it entirely. To do this, get about four ounces of ordinary . liquid arvon ; apply it at night when retiring; use enough to moisten the scalp and rub it in gently with the finger tips. By morning, most if not all, of your dandruff will be gone, and three or more application will completely dissolve and entirely destroy every single sign and trace of it. - You will find, too, that all Itching and digging of the scalp .will stop, and your hair will look and feel a hundred times better. You can get liquid
arvon at any drug store. It is inexpensive and four ounces is all you will need, no matter how much dandruff you have. This simple remedy never fails. Adv.

It's Easy t o Peel Off All Your Freckles
The contrast between the freckles and the clear skin usually is so great tbat no bleach can be more than partially successful in obliterating the disflgurments. Ordinary merconzed wax is far better; it literally peels off the freckles. Get an ounce of It at the nearest drug store and tonight spread on enough to completely cover the face; remove in the morning with warm water. Repeat dally until every freckle has disappeared. Rough, blotchy, pimpled skin, also common at this season, may be entirely gotten rid of by this eame method, without discomfort or inconvenience. The effort is decidedly worth while, th3 new complexion obtained being bo clear, smooth and youthful.

A table and three chairs, also dishes and ice chest, need not be new if in good condition. Can you imagine how you'd go scurrying out to the store room to look up "that old stuff out there" if you thot you could get 3, 4, 5, 6 or 10 dollars cash for them? But why wait until some one rings the bell and asks the question? Hundreds of people "want three chairs", hundreds want a table, too, and dishes, coffee pots, urns, hall racks, linoleum, carpets, valises, trunks, suit cases, stoves, .cutlery, furniture, lamps, everything you can think of. . YOU have hundreds of things right in your own home that is of no use to you but SOMEBODY needs them, so why not turn them into cash? .'
