Several of the managers who Intended to enter teams in the league are up against it for diamond. However, President Vigran announced that he would make at least one more attempt to organize.

Last Saturday, with the score 2-to-0 In favor of the Starrs, Ernie Bosworth manager of the S. A. L., called on the A. S. M. fans to make some noise and rattle Sturm. As this was the first Fame of the season and that stunt had never been tried before, Sturm blew for one inning, allowing the Seeders to win. What will Ernie try next? With all that money up for home runs, every player in the league failed to annex one. Money is a small object with the S. A. L. For want of the fair sex, the S. A. L. players may go on a strike. The fair sex turned out last year in larger numbers than ever before and now with the return of some of the old swimmers Parker is predicting one of the biggest swimming seasons In the history of the beach. The Hawkins swimming beach last
'year opened May 2D and on Memorial
day between three and four hundred people took a plunge In the pool. Almost every day was a big day and all holidays last year the pool was crowded with swimmers. The next few weeks Manager Parker will spend In getting the pool

At last a real remedy for rheumatism! And a good one it mustbe when good druggists everywhere sell it on the no-cure no-pay basis. Rheumatics should hail the news with great rejoicing, for it is surely a remarkable remedy and has a record of almost unbelievable cures. Read what J. F. Oliver of Albany. Ga., says about it:
"I had sciatic rheumatism for two vears, and tried every medicine offered for rheumatism. Tried many doctors, was treated at one of the best Southern sanatoriums, and if I improved any I did not realize it. I am a conductor on the Central of Georgia railroad, and had secured a pass to Hot Springs, Ark., to take treatment. About that time I saw Rheuma advertiser! and concluded to try it. I abandoned my trip, took three bottles, and now feel as well as ever. I would not take a hundred thousand dollars for what Rheuma has done for me. If you have rheumatism in any form, don't delay try Rheuma today. A large bottle is not expensive, and your money back if it does not give you quick and Joyful relief. Adv.

Two women met in one of Richmond's largest stores. After their purchases were made, one said "Charge this, please". The other said "I always pay cash" and was met with the reply "I used to have to pay cash, too." Lady Number One had secured the confidence of certain business houses. They were glad to extend credit for such purchases as she wished to make during the month, and she was very particular to see that these accounts were paid well before the 15th of the following month. She established her own credit because in Rich

So when Lady Number One asked to have something charged for the first time, the clerk no doubt phoned to the Credit Department, which in turn got in touch with other merchants, and was told of a number of houses that were glad to extend the courtesy of a charge account to this lady. Lady Number Two, however, was very careless in paying her bills, or was troublesome, and created a great deal of annoyance by having goods delivered and returned. So most of the merchants preferred to deal with her on a cash basis, and promptly entered on their credit cards the three letters which mean so much N. M. C. (No more credit). Nearly all PALLADIUM
