SUNDAY SCHOOL HELD STRONGEST ORGANIZATION WITHIN CHURCH
A large crowd attended the Home Department meeting In the East Main Street ' Friends church yesterday afternoon. " The Garfield school orchestra played an opening number then the Rev J. F. Propst offered an invocation. Following the invocation the Rev. F. W. Rohlfing spoke briefly comparing the home department to Theobe of Cenchrae, who left her own country In order that Bhe might carry an epistle to others. "These epistles, this literature, which you of the Home Department carry to those who are not able to come out to the Sunday schools is an inspiration of the Christian faith; a message of love. You are heralds of true education. ' You develop mortal souls in such a way that those with whom come in contact become wise saints wise Christians. "I believe that you Home Department workers sustain confidence, and we can have no faith unless we have confidence." A trio composed of Miss Ruth Scott, Miss Mary Jones and Miss Martha Scott played responding with an encore after which the Rev. J. S. Hill spoke on the work of the Home Department, contending that the church today needed more and more efforts to be put forth in bringing people into the church, and saying that the Home department is the "right hand of the church." "The outstanding work of the Home Department disproves any statements that it does not pay," said he. "I believe that God has pointedly blessed the Home Department, I apprehend that my audience is composed on the whole of Sabbath school people in general, and I will say that to me the title of Sunday Bchool teacher is CITY ADVERTISEMENT Department of Public Works Office of the Board Richmond, Ind., April 21, 1919. .To Whom It May Concern: of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, that on the 21st day of April, 1919, they unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution No. 663, 1919 Providing for the improvement of South 4th street, from Main to South "A" Street: By constructing cement curb and gutter one foot wide on the west side of said street and paving the roadway the full width thereof with one of the modern kinds of city pavement, to-wit: Brick, Cement, Asphalt, Creosoted Wood-block.
