WITH THE WOMEN OF TODAY

The Countess Georglana MarkJerier., that very remarkable fiery spirited Irishwoman who has long been a leader In Sinn Fein affairs would make more history lor Oreat Britain. The countess was recently nominated and elected to the British parliament while nerring a term in prison. Now that her time has been shortened and she Is once more free she is considering taking her seat In that body. Should e he do this she would hold the record of being the first woman to sit in the British parliament. The countess is Irish-born but wedded to a Polish nobleman, who Is an artist and a dramatist. She led her own band through the short-Ured Irish rebellion and took possession of the Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin and defended it stubbornly. The college was the last building on the green to surrender. After the surrender the countess was Imprisoned and sentenced to death for murder because vShe killed one of the guards during the attempt to capture Dublin castle. She was later released from the death penalty and committed for life imprisonment. But a few months later she was released . from Jail and enthusiastically received by the people, who carried her on their shoulders while her admirers marched triumphantly through the streets of Dublin. The countess prophesies that Ire

land will soon be free and If she carries out her plan of taking her seat in the house one may be sure that she will have a great deal to do with the freeing of her native country. MATERNITY, HER PLATFORM Senora Julleta Renshaw, a physician and the first woman candidate for congress in Argentina, says the state must support maternity as a duty and as hrrity. She promises if elected to strive for government recognition of maternity. , The house of representatives has passed a bill to pension all public service employes, who will give 5 per cent o? their wages to the fund, while employers will deposit an amount equal to 8 per cent of their pay rolls, being permitted to raise prices to make up this amount. NEWSPAPER DECISIONS.

BOSTON Ralph Bradv and K. O. Mars battled twelve rounds to a draw. ST. LOUIS Mike Gibbons won a decision over Leo Houck in eight rounds.

This home-made ayrnp doe the work in hurry. KmIIj prepared, and save about C2.

Dear Mrs. Thompson: We are two girl chums sixteen years of age. Wo are in love with two boys 16 and 17 years old. We believe it is true love. Do boys and girls of this age truly love. Is It proper to kiss ones sweetheart? We have their silk handkerchiefs and rings. Should we keep them if they do not object. We have medium complexion and dark brown hair, one with gray, and one with blue eyes. What colors can ) we wear best? What Is the neatest - kind of shoe to wear for summer? Thank you, NIP AND TUCK. You are too young to be In love. As you grow older your tastes will change. It Is not proper to kiss ones sweetheart until he becomes your fiance. I presume that if the young men do not object it will do no harm for you to keep their handkerchiefs, though I should suggest you return their rings. The one with blue eyes can wear any shade of blue or pink. Gray eyes will wear nearly the same shades. You should both refrain from wearing

brown, yellow, green, because of your

complexions. These colors tend to make the complexion dark. Oxfords with military heels or high Kboes with military heels in black, white or brown are very good for summer wear. White is better for . summer dresses. Dear Mrs. Thompson: About a week ago I read a column In your paper where a girl asked you If it is proper for a girl to go with a boy if her parents object. You said it was not.

There are two sides to that question. If a boy loves a girl more than anything else on earth Is it right for her to give him up just because her parents object. I am going with a girl and her parents do not like me. Do you think I ought to give her up. This girl means more to me than anything else on earth. A READER. Quite true there are two sides to the story. I do not know why the parents object. Perhaps they are rgiht and perhaps they are wrong. If they are wrong I do not think you should give her up. You yourself should be the judge. If you love the girl and she loves you and her parents are not justified in raising objections you should not give her up.

GROUND WILL FREEZE TONIGHT, IS FORECAST

y Weatherman Moore issued a special bulletin today saying that temperatures will go below freezing tonight. As the ground will freeze, he advises persons to cover all tender plants which may be sprouting. The weather will moderate Friday and be still milder Saturday, Moore says.

Dear Mrs. Thompson: We are two young girls 19 years old. We are related and chum together. We have no boy friends and really do not care for any. We go to shows and once in a while to a party. We get very lonesome. What can we do to have a good time? Would it be all right for us to go to dances. Please suggest something for us to do.

THE LONESOME TWO.

It would not be proper for you to go to dances unless you are properly escorted by young men or some older person who would take you. As a

rule it is not good form to go to a

dance unless you are attended by a

young man. I am sure that were you

to cultivate the companionship of two

nice young fellows you could have a

good time. By that I mean it is necessary for a girl always to be escorted,

You could do more to enjoy your

selves if you had boy friends.

SEBORRHEA IS KILLING HAIR Everyone knows that the men ind women of America are losing their hair. The prevalence of seborrhea (the dandruff disease) is appalling. But just as science proved that dandruff was due to bacilli, science now offers the remedy.

It is r AMU. FAMO destroys the dandruff bacilli and stops the seborrhean excretion. It stop3 all itching of the scalp. It penetrates the scalp and unless the hair roots are entirely dead, it encourages and stimulates the growth of new hair. The ingredients of FAMO have never before been used in the treatment of the scalp. But they are veil known to medical science. Three years were spent in perfecting FAMO in one of the great pharmaceutical laboratories of Detroit. FAMO makes the hair and scalp healthy. It nourishes the hair in a wonderful way and makes it lustrous and fluffy. FMO comes in two sizes 35 cents and a big bottle at $1. Your money back if you are not satisfied.
