CUT THIS OUT
OLD. ENGLISH RECIPE FOR CATARRH, CATARRHAL DEAFNESS AND HEAD NOISES.
Poesn't hurt a bit and costs only : few cents
. If you know. of some one' who is trouble.d with Catarrhal Deafness, head noises or ordinary catarrh cut out this formula "and hand it to them and you may .have been .the means of saving some poor sufferer perhaps from total deafness.-' In England scientists for a Ions time past, have recogrntzed that catarrh Is-a-constitutional disease and necessarily - requires constitutional treatment. Sprays, inhalers and nose douches are liable to irritate the 'delicate air passages and force the -disease Into the middle ear whioh frequently means total deafness, or else the disease may be driven down "the air passages towards the lungs which is equally as dangerous. The following formula which is used extensively in the damp English climate is a constitutional treatment and should prove especially efficacious to sufferers here 'who live under more favorable climate conditions. - Secure from your druggist. 1 ounce of Parmint (double strength). Take this home and add to it M pint of hot water and a little granulated sugaretir until dissolved. Take one
tablespoonful four times a day. This will often bring quick relief from distressing head noises. Clogged nostrils I
should open, breathing become easy and hearing improve as the inflammation in the- eustachian tubes is reduced. Parmint used in this way acts directly upon the blood and mucous surfaces of the system and has a tonic action that helps to obtain the desired results. The preparation is easy to make, costs little and-Is pleasant to take. Every person who has catarrh or head noises or is hard of hearing should give this treatment a trial. Adv.

(By Associated Press) ROME, March 13. The Observatore
Romano, the semi-official organ of the j Vatican prints an article on the league j of nations which is understood to! embody the viewpoint of the holy see. It says the league "might have been, constituted in a simpler manner," and
outlines the functions of the league as follows: "The setting or an arbitration tribunal to solve international effects.
The formation of a society of all civilized nations including those defeated in the recent war, . who will pledge themselves to submit their differences to a tribunal and accept its ruling. ! The bringing about of an agreement to declare an economic boycott against any nation which refuses to submit controversies to a tribunal or which will not accept decisions on matters which have been submitted. In conclusion the article recalls that such a project was suggested in the pope's appeal to the belligerent nations on August 1, 1917. - j

GRANDMA USED SAGE ! TEA TO DARKEN HAIR She made a mixture of Sage Tea and Sulphur to bring back color, J flloss and youthfulness. -. : v Common garden sage brewed Into a heavy tea with sulphur added, will turn gray, streaked and faded hair beauifully dark and luxuriant. - Just a few applications will prove a revelation it your hair is fading,-streaked or gray. Mixing the Sage Tea and Sulphur recipe at home, though, Is troublesome. An easier way fs to get a bottle of Wyeth's Sage and Sulphur Compound at any drug store all ready for use. This is the old-time . recipe improved by the addition of other Ingredients. . . : - While wispy, gray, faded hair It not sinful, we all desire to retain our youthful appearance and attractiveness. By darkening your hair with Wyeth's Sage and Sulphur Compound, no one can tell, because It does it so naturally, so evenly. You just dampen a sponge or soft brush with it and draw this through your hair; taking" one small strand at a time; by morning all gray hairs have disappeared, and, after another application or two, your hair becomes beautifully dark, glossy, soft and luxuriant.
