People are much more anxious to sell than to rent, the building inspector thinks, hundreds of properties in town being for sale. Reason for this is that while property values are comparatively high, rents are not high enough to pay good return, on the money invested in property Absence of 1,500 young men In the army who in normal times would be marrying and renting houses, has kept rents low, and people have also been afraid to build because of uncertainty as to the future.

WATERLOO TRACTOR WON'T STOP-JONES
"Two days of pulling a three-bottom plow through ground, frozen to a depth of three inches, with never a suspicion
of a stop or a stutter, was the test of
a Waterloo Boy tractor I sold a few
days ago," said Frank M. Jones, of Jones and Farmers, who handles the
Waterloo tractor in Richmond.
"The ground was frozen so that you
couldn't put the plows in the ground,
and a furrow had to be plowed to start
them across the field, and at the end
they had to be pulled back before they could be lifted up through the frozen crust, yet the owner of this tractor couldn't stal lit though he did his best
for two days." "A Waterloo Boy I sold last year plowed and prepared 120 acres of land, spring and fall, pulled a Rumely separator and thrashed all summer and fall and the water in that tractor never got so hot you could not wash your hands in it." "That owner has never had to have a mechanic, and has never had to spend a cent for repairs. Does he like the tractor? Say, that man is Waterloo crazy." "Extreme simplicity is the keynote of the Waterloo. Both transmission and differential are on top no lying on his back on bumpy ground for a Waterlo owner. It will start without fail, no matter how cold the weather, and a big oil resevoir oils every part of the tractor without attention. The type I have will pull a three-bottom plow or a 24-inch cylinder separator." Jones has four Waterloo Boys on exhibit at Jones and Farmers new home at 18 South Seventh street, but he does not expect to have them long, as he expects the tractor, which he has only handled a short while, to be very popular.

I- XiXj REASON WHY
Because of the millions of Ford cars In daily operation, the Ford Motor Campany will extend the giving of service to owners of Ford Cars by selling the genuine Ford Parts to all reliable Garages throughout the country, when such garages pledge the prompt and efficient giving of service the standard Ford service to owners of Ford Cars.
Up to this time, the Ford Motor Company has confined the sale of genuine Ford Parts exclusively to the authorized Ford Dealers. Therefore, many garages throughout the country, while giving service to Ford Cars, use duplicate or Imitation parts, not made by the Ford Motor Company, although charging Ford owners the same price as if the genuine Ford Parts had been used.
Now, the authorized Ford Dealer will sell to any responsible garage genuine Ford. Parts, and will supply them with an authorized Ford sign. The millions of Ford owners will thus find the genuine Ford Parts, and receive genuine Ford service anywhere and everywhere throughout the United States. Ford owners will no doubt show their appreciation of this by patronizing those garages where the certainty of the genuine For.d Parts with the genuine Ford service is assured. The following authorized Ford Dealer will be pleased to supply any reliable garage in Richmond and surrounding territory with everything or anything in genuine Ford Parts promptly. On the Wrong Track Sometimes you hear a man say, "Oh, you can't hurt the battery." He forgets to add distilled water. He steps too long on his starter instead of cleaning hia spark plugs. - He puts in acid instead of having his battery charged. He never has a Hydrometer test made. And when his battery suddenly quits he can't realize that it has been gradually dying from neglect and abuse. It's a fallacy to believe that you can neglect any battery without suffering the consequences. The Bone-Dry Willard Battery with Threaded Rubber Insulation is made to give unusual service and long life, but it must be kept charged, and has to be supplied with pure water.
