Hileman has filed an answer and cross petition in the action instituted against him for divorce by his wife, Sarah Hileman. Hileman charges his wife with failure to perform the duties of a wife and claims she has neglected their child which bad to be taken to the home of the defendant's mother in order to receive proper care. The defendant has been in the army for the last year. Great interest has been taken in the big meetings of the Universalis! church this week. A musical has been -arranged for next Sunday evening. About fifty young people attended a party In the Z. P. C. N. rooms on Wednesday night following the church meeting. In response to popular demand for the entertainment and welfare of the young people of this town the N. B. church has decided to erect a com

munity house, including among other things a modern gymnasium for boys and girls and a basketball room. A soldiers and sailors' ball will be given Friday night at the K. of P. in honor of the discharged service men of this community. Mrs. Francina Doddridge Kramer

was surprised last Wednesday in honor of her 79th birthday anniversary

at the home of her sister, Mrs. Mary

Wright with whom she makes her

home. About thirty guests spent the

day at the Wright home. Including her three brothers, Mordlca. Wilbur and James Doddridge, and a sister, Mrs. Lorena Judklns of Cambridge City. The ages of these six brothers and sister present totaled 414 years, while including the ages of two absent brothers, I si ah Doddridge of California, and John H. Doddridge of Indianapolis, the total was 577 year, an average per person of 99 years. ELDORADO Mrs. R. L. Fraxer, 31 years old. former resident of this place died at her home in Waynesville. Tuesdsy, following illness with pneumlnia. Surviving members of the family are her husband and three small children.

Funeral services were held from her home at 1 o'clock Thursday afternoon

and burial was at Murdoch, Ohio. Miss Ruby Ward, youngest daugh

ter of Mrs. John B. Ward, was married to Jacob Horlne, elder son of Mr. and Mrs. Tobias Horlne, in the

Henry Clear, 77, life-long resident of

this city, who died Wednesday at Indianapolis, Ind., at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Alfred Thompson, where he had been staying the last few weeks, were held here this afternoon at- the Christian church, with the Rev. Hiley Baker in charge. Burial was In Mound Hill cemetery. Mr. Clear conducted a laundry here for

many years, giving up tha business a couple of years ago. He la survived by two sons, Lain and Joseph Clear, of this city, and two daughters, Mrs.

Thompson and Mrs. Stephen coover, of Chicago.' Funeral services for Mrs. Fern Albright, wife of Ralph B. Albright, who died Tuesday, were held this after noon at tha Albright home, with Rev. T. J. Simpson, Presbyterian church, in charge. Interment was In Mound Hill cemetery. She la survived by her husband, father, Dr. C. W. Conley, and one brother, of Detroit, Mich. Wlllard Neff and Miss Florence Sommers, local young people, were married Wednesday at the Lutheran parsonage by tha Rev. George Slxt Raymond H. Panes and Miss Flora Klrkhoff, daughter of James Klrkhoff, both residing near Baton, were married here Wednesday evening at the Lutheran parsonage by the .Rev. George Slxt.

GIRL DIES MONTH AFTER FATHER

Miss Ina Davis, 26 years old, died at her home here Thursday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock, from heart trouble. She has been 111 for about a year, but

since moving to Richmond two montha ago her health had been much better. Her father. Rufus H. Davis, who was

the first student in Earlham college, died January 19. After his death the family moved from Knightstown, their

home, to Richmond.

She Is survived by a sister, Mary
