WA8HINQT0N. Joan lived alone with her grandparents. In a bouse nearby lives Martin Grey, a young man. Eventually Martin and Joan get acquainted. One day- Joan is discovered with f Martin and ber grandparents forbid her to see him again. She runs away v to Martin and he takes her to the city where they are married. To Joan, married life Is no different than any other kind of life. She forgets she has a husband and flirts madly with everyone and anyone. Martin becomes fast friends with Toodles, a chorus girl. After, a time the young people realize that life holds no real happiness without the other. And no these hap

piness seekers becomes the ideal ma-

rnea coupe, with love and happiness to rule their home. This Is the story 1 of "Who Cares?" In which Constance Talmadge is presented by Lewis J. Selznlc, and which will be seen today and tomorrow at the Washington theatre.

MURRETTE. There was a good deal of questioning as to how Moret knew anything about "Mickey." No one in the company had ever noticed Mr. Moret there during the rehearsals. In order to get some peace on the subject, therefore, he told them that he had first noticed Mickey when he dropped Into the studio for a chat one day with one of the directors. At that time the

very arst scenes were being "shot," and attracted by the charming personality of "Mickey," he stayed the entire day, Two hours later. Inspired by the fascinating photoplay, re wrote the song dedicated to "Mickey," and which he called "Mickey." But why Miss Normand should be at all peeved, after the first surprise of the song, no one could quite fathom. As for Neil Moret, he set it down as "just like a woman." It leaked out, however, several days later when" Miss Normand said she was "afraid" of Mickey, "it sticks so," she complained, "just as Peter Pan is identical with Maudo Adams." Nevertheless, just ask Mies Normand some day how proud she is of her twin sister "Mickey." She loves that mischevious little glil as much as everyone elso does, she has confided many .times.

the colors used in the Samurai period were very scarce now, on account of the shutting off of some of the dyestuffs. Cloth bad to be sent for, and a search was made In Japan for some of the original manufactured during the time when the play Is supposed to tae place. When these arrived they were compared by Japanese experts with the plates that were nown to be authentic, and only those that proved to be absolutely correct costumes were finally obtained. At the Murray today.
