A. J.. Swift in the court house here to perfect an organization of tobacco growers in the three counties. The organization hopes to make a perman-
bacco in the future, to advance the production of tobacco and protect the farmer in marketing tobacco. Every township in Preble county was represented, Darke county sent two men and Montgomery sent two. W. H. Burke and C. E. Bruner of Darke county said that no organization had been made in Darke county but plans were on foot to perfect one soon. . H. .W. Dafler and W.. C- Izor of Montgomery county said the county expected to be fully organized by the middle of next week. - Organisation of the whole Miami valley tobacco growing .district is ex-, pected to come -out of the, present meeting. Last night Darke county had a meeting of 145 men who established an elevator organization. Two elevators will be established, one at Arcanum and one at Pitt6burg. Washington township of Preble county men will meet this evening in the county agent's office in the court house and will complete Preble county's organization. HARDING TOWER RACE FOR PRESIDENT EATON, O., Feb. 21 Senator Warren G. Harding of Ohio announced his intention to run for president, today at the Lincoln banquet held here last night which 50;0 Republicans attended. This announcement was made after Ralph D. Cole announced his intention of running for governor of Ohio. The meeting endorsed Congressman S. D. Fess as speaker of the house of representatives.
