MILTON, Feb.. 7. Over a hundred delegates from all parts of Wayne county attended the annual - county conference of Christian churches in the Christian church here yesterday, when Charles Roland of Richmond, was elected president of the association for the coming year. Other officers follow: Lester B. Harrison. Fountain City, vice-president; Fred Wallace, Whitewater, secretary and treasurer; A. A. Lindley, JackBonburg, superintendent of Bible schools; the Rev. F. C. McCormlck, Milton, superintendent; Miss Murl lllgglns, Christian Endeavor superintendent; Mrs. Nellie McVay, Richmond, superintendent of missions. The speakers Included Gary L. Cook of Indianapolis; Elizabeth Ross of Eureka, 111., who spoke on "Africa," and U. S. Training camp experiences; Rev. O. I. Hoover, evangelist, of Indianapolis; Mrs. O. H. Geist, state president of Christian Women's Board of Missions. Mrs. Nellie McVay directed the music. The conference will be held In Fountain City next year.

A prayer meeting was held Monday night at the home of Harley Beeson. . Sunday. ....Richard Bornough and Bernard Beeson were in New Castle Tuesday. ....No new cases of influenza for some time and all school children are ready and very anxious for school to open .... Mrs. Joseph Harter is ill. She was stricken with paralysis Sunday. . . .Mrs. Teetor of Hagerstown and Miss Hadley of Richmond called on Mrs. Homer Jones last Friday afternoon. Miss Hadley . is our county home demonstrating agent.... Erastus Bouroughs is still confined to his home, his condition not much changed, ....Several people from this community atended Farmers' institute at Mooreland . . . . Rev. Powers of Losantville preached at the Methodist church near here last Sunday. Everybody glad to have him back on his work after his several weeks of Illness. . . .Joseph Davis and family were in Mooreland Tuesday. Miss Blanch Horner was a visitor in Richmond Wednesday afternoon. . . . . Mr. Chrowdis and daughter of Ventina, Cal., spent Wednesday with Mrs.
I. M. Nichols and daughter Frances. ....Lieut. Huntington of Camp Sherman, O., who has been the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Lytle for the last week, returned to Chillicothe Wednesday.... Miss Leon Miller of Kokomo, Ind., is the guest of her aunt, Mrs. Mary Tapp at this place.
Cousin of Mrs. Walter Butler Dies in Germany News of the death of Captain Reginald Hughes at Bitburg, Germany, was received Wednesday night by " his widow, Mrs. Clare Hughes. Captain Hughes died February 3, of influenza and double pneumonia. Captain Hughes Is the son of Mrs. William Hughes of Indianapolis and a cousin of Mrs. Walter Butler, North A street, of this city.
Revival Services Continue at Chester M. . Church
CHESTER. Feb. 7. Revival services at the Methodist church here are still in progress and will continue for another week. A number of additions hav been received in the church during the meetings. Last Sunday persons were present from Whitewater, Richmond, Middleboro, WilliamBburg and Webster. Rev. Louis Ulmer has charge of the services. The public is cordially invited to the services. -
