1 ocai GRAIN QUOTATIONS E. W. WAGNER & CO.'S REVIEW I CHICAGO, Jan. 24. Sentiment regains bearish with much belief of greatly advertised living cost adjustment is under way. The bog price for ; February can hardly effect corn feed- ' Ing after Feb. 15. Consumers of meat !. appear holding off. Newspapers are ' In favor of a quick change to cheaper 'living; tbe east appears to have accepted large amounts of Argentine corn for April and June, much of 1 which remains hedged in May corn. 'Provision trade outside of packers reported bearish forecasting lower prices. Tho corn situation apparently 'remains heavy. CHICAGO GRAIN RANGE Furnished by E. W. WAGNER & CO., 212 Union Nat. LEGISLATURE

Continued From P-age One. t Senator Southwortli introduced two Insurance bills, one providing for equalization of all fees paid the state by insurance companies, and another empowering the commissioner of insurance to take charge of insurance companies in poor financial condition in order to eliminate receiver expenses and protect policy holders. An attempt was made to amend Senator Ratt's bill for Increasing dog taxes when it came up for second reading this morning. Senator Munton wished to make the dog tax $5 for the first and .$10 for each additional dog. The matter was made a special order of business for three o'clock on Monday, after much debate. Gets a Committee The Democrats were given the chairmanship of a committee when Lieutenant Governor Busch appointed Senator Cravens to head a committee to look after senators who become sick. The house passed two bills, one providing for the state appropriating $2,000 annually to pay a portion of the costs of the annual encampment of the G. A. R. and of the departmental work of that organization, and the other providing for the change of township boundary lines. By vote of 80 to 14, the Cooper measure, providing for county , commissioner giving $5,000 bond, was defeated on third reading.
