SX.l MRT. ELIZABETH THOMPSON
r ' - , '. ttear Mrs. Thompson : I am a young married lady and I dearly love my boy husband, but he has left for France. Do you think It would be correct for me to go out with a boy friend while my husband Is away? I think quite a bit of this man and he tells mehe loves me. I want a little excitement. 1 would never be contented to sit at home. Please tell me what to do, as I have no one to whom I could speak of such matters, as I am an orphan. . v FLOSSIE. It would most certainly not be corirect for you to go with the other man In your husband's absence. You must be loyal to your husband if you 'hope to retain his respect and faith ',ln you. Without faith there cannot be love, and so you should be very careful to to give up the thing which means most in lifo to you. . Lack of excitement will be far betterandj more comfortable than a knowledge of disloyalty to your husband at a time when he has given up so much for you. Dear Mrs. Thompson: My hands always look red and rough. I am troubled with them In winter especially.- & They chap very easily and look dirty when they are reall clean. Please tell me what to will make them white and smooth. THANK YOU. ' Make a hand lotion of two ounces of bay rum to ono of glycerine and twenty drops ojt carbolic acid. Enough perfume should bo added to kill the odor of the carbolic acid. Any druggist will mix the preparation for ycu. Dear Mrs. Thompson: I am a girl of twenty-three and have been going with a young man for two years. We are to be married in a short time. My folks don't approve of It and won't give me money to get wedding clothes. The man I am to marry is well-to-do. Shall I teUr bim my troubles? - - 1 BLUE BIRD. Do not marry the man if your parents have a good reason for disapproving of the match. Marriage Is so serious a matter that a girl should be very cautious in regard to it. If you do marry, repair, the clothes that you have as well as you can and make them do. You might mention Will Reopen Bottling Plant at Cedar Springs C. D. Williamson, manager of the Cedar Springs hotel, will soon start operations at the bottling plant at that place which has been inactive for a number of years. Navahoe water and pop will be manufactured and the work will begin soon. A number of years ago this bottling concern was one of the largest in this section of the country. .
I NO MORE RHEUMATISM Torturing Paine and Swollen Joints -. Vanish When Rheuma Is Used.
'At last a real remedy for rheumatism! And a good one it must be when Quigley's Drug Stores and good druggists everywhere sell it on the no-cure no-pay basis. , Rheumatics should hail the news with great rejoicing, for it Is surely a remarkable remedy and has a record of almost unbelievable cures. Read what J. P. Oliver of Albany, Ga., savs about it: - "I had sciatic rheumatism for 4 wo years, and tried every medicine offered for rheumatism. Tried many doctors, was treated at one of the best Southwit "fcanatorlums. and if I improved any I did not realize it. T am a conductor on the Central of Georgia railroad, and bad secured a . pass to Hot Springs, Ark., to take treatment. About that time' I saw Rheuma advertised and concluded to try it. I abandoned my trip, took three bottles, and now -feel as well as ever. I would not take a hundred . thousand dollars for what Rheuma has done for me. - If you have rheumatism in any form, don't delay try Rheuma today. A large bottle is not expensive, and your money back if it does not give you quick and joyful relief. Adv.

Add the vanilla, strain into a buttered mould; set In a pan of hot water and bake about thirty minutes. r to your fiance that you will not have a trousseau since your parents do not approve of the marriage. He will not care, except as it humiliates you. Dear Mrs. Thompson: My gentleman friend in France will be coming home soon, 1 think. Would it be proper for me to go to New York to meet him? I am of age. Is it necessary to have my parents' consent? BLUE EYE3. Do not go to New York to meet your soldier friend unless you are engaged to him, and even so you should not go without your mother, or someone she recommends, as chaperone. You should most certainly have your parents' consent before going on such a trip. I myself would not advise you to go. Explosion Shock Causes Alarm at Liberty LIBERTY, Ind., Dec. 20 The nitroglycerine explosion, which occurred at Greensburg, forty miles southwest of here, wa3 felt all over this county. ; Many feared that an explosion had occurred in the artificial gas plant, and others were fearful of an earthquake. Raymond Flessinger died in a southern military camp last week of spinal meningitis. His parents live north of Brownsville. Donald Hughes Is home after spending several months in a southern training camp. He has been commissioned a second lieutenant and has been placed on the reserve list. Mrs. Monroe Frecin is in a serious condition as the result of a relapse after an attack of influenza. She had recovered sufficiently to be about her housework when she was taken ill again. ' Henry Walton is very ill at his home here with Influenza. He is a shoe salesman. Andrew Graham is in a serious condition at his home with a paralytic stroke. He is 80 years old, and for a number of years was rural mail carrier out of Liberty. 9" Fgoes farther tastes better -and is sold by your home town grocer: that's Golden Sun the dustless, chaffless coffee. Why then patronize mail order houses and peddlers? Part of every dollar you spend at home goes to make better schools, roads, etc. Money sent out of town never comes back and often buys less value than you can get risht at home.
