PAGE SEVEN '! V BRINGING UP FATHER By McManus lyifli'mnj on Committee 1 of Stale Edccatcn INDIANAPOLIS. Ind., Dec. 7. A committee, consisting of L. P. Bo-ne-zett. of Evansville; C. W. Williams; Richmond, and D. W. Waldo. Kalamazoo. Mich., appointed by the State Board of Education, submitted a report to Governor Goodrich today recommending that Indiana hare four state normal schools. The committee suggests that one be erected in Northern Indiana and the other in the southern part, and that the school at Muncie be taken from control of the State Normal at Terre Haute and made a separate institution. The committee maintains that four normals are necessary to train teachers for Indiana schools. Education Conference at Whitewater Meeting

Alice Brady's acting, and her personal appearance,. Both seem to have advanced artistically since her last photo-play. It is almost as If a new Alice Brady had arrived, a woman who had looked much deeper into life, and whose knowledge had given her greater powers of expression a woman whose artistic gain was reflected in her face. At the Washington Friday and Saturday.
WASHINGTON.
MURRAY. Harrison Ford, who plays the Important role, of Gilbert Byfield in lila Lee's first Paramount picture, "The Cruise of the Make-Believes," which will be the attraction at the Murray theare today, is a leading man who is good looking, has charms of personality and possesses real skill in acting. Recently, screen fans have c6me to know him quite well through his excellent acting as leading man for Constance Talmadge and Vivian Martin. Before coming to the pictures Harri3on Ford was well known on the speaking stage and played leads in numerous Broadway productions.

Paul Revere, America's favorite pat-
biuii. aim, jittiuimij, una ("p tumc very interesting and entertaining views. There are a number of out-door scenes and, altogether, it is one of the most entertaining and pleasing pictures of the entire season. "The Safety Curtain," which will be shown at Washington theatre today, with the beautiful Select star, Norma Talmadge, in a favorite emotional role, tells the Btory of Puck, Norma Talmadge, a dancer In a cheap London music hall, who is suddenly transplanted into army life at a post in India. Puck is caught between the safety curtain which drops behind her, and an explosion in tho audience, when Captain Merryon, from his box, sees her plight. He leaps on the stage and Puck remembering a secret passage
way from the theatre to an unused
alley, is saved just before the walls of the stage cave in. The new Fairbanks picture, "Bound
in Morocco," is described as a snappy ! twentieth century high-geared, roman-j tic comedy-drama, traveling at highi speed all the time. The story by; Allan Dawn makes It possible for Mr. ( Fairbanks to present several new stunts that he created especially for his new picture, which will be shown at the Washington theatre next Tues-, day. One stunt, worthy of mention, is a dive that Mr. Fairbanks makes from the top of a high sand dune to the shoulders of Fred Burns, who Is passing by on a speeding horse. This is followed by an exciting hand to hand fight on the desert sands, which is mid to be an exceedingly 'thrilling affair. I Ijove often leada laithful women into' strange and intensely thrilling situations. From time immemorial never has the thought of great danger swerved a woman bent on saving the man she loves. This remarkable characteristic in those of the gentler sex' la vividly portrayed by Geraldlne Farrar in her first Goldwyn production,' "The Turn of the Wheel," by Tex Char-, wato, which comes to the Washington theatre Wednesday and Thursday.!
