Welling Mrs. Mary Welling died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Vina Stronider, in Newcastle. The funeral will be in Newcastle. New County Clerk Is "Mandated" by Court Strict court procedure was used this morning in the trial of Linus Meredith, recently elected county clerk, who was charged with cruelty on affidavit formally filed by Sheriff Clem Carr. Explosion of Can of Paint Causes Fire The Are department was called this afternoon to North D street between Seventh and Eighth streets to put out a small fire caused by he explosion ot a can of paint which was sitting on a stove. There was no damage.
