Bowman will go to Indianapolis December 1 to begin work as deputy state auditor. Auditor Klauss begins his second term of office on December 2. The county commissioners will appoint a successor as soon as Mr. Bowman tends his resignation. An officer on detached duty in Richmond said : "I hate to think of going back to camp. It's going to be so almighty hard to keep the men in hand for the months ahead while demobilization is going on." That is one reason why Wayne county must do its share in the United War Work campaign. The war agencies are the big help in providing for the men under the monotony of waiting to go home. AGED MAN STRUCK BY AUTOMOBILE Samuel Stevenson, an aged employe of the F. and N. Lawn Mower company, 300 Richmond avenue, was seriously injured this morning when he was struck by an automobile driven by O. J. Detro, of New Madison, Ohio. The accident occurred at the corner of Eighth and North E streets. The driver was coming from the north across the railroad tracks and according to an eye witness, was driving only about ten miles an hour. Stevenson was crossing the street from the northeast when the car hit him and dragged him several feet. He was taken to Reid hospital immediately. BILLIARD MATCH WON BY TEAGUE Herbert Teague, star billiard player of Indianapolis, won a balk line game of billiards from W. C. Nussbaum to the tune of 150 to 122. The game was held at Twigg's and the profits go to the United War Work Campaign. Nussbaum started out as if he meant to win the game in a rush when he made a run of 18 in the early part of the game. However, Teague came into form at the end of the second lap and Boon made a run of 24 which won the game for him. Nussbaum evened up the count by winning the three cushion match to the score of 25-17. Many shots were applauded by the audience. Nussbaum then gave an exhibition of fancy shots. There was a goodsized crowd to witness the match. CERRETTI COMING ROME. Thursday, Nov. 14.
