Attorney Jamea Elmer White, thirty years old, died at hla home. 62 South Seventeenth atreet. Sunday morning at 4 o'clock, of Spanish Influenza following: an illness of about ten days. The deceased was born in Boonvllle, Indiana, July 1, 1888. He attended the public schools there and graduated from the department of Law at Indiana University In 1911. The same year he was married to Miss Lydla Kuntzman of Boonville, and moved to Indianapolis, where he was admitted to the bar. Mr. White engaged In general practice In Indianapolis until January 1, 1913. at which time he joined the legal department of the C. & O. Railroad, with which company he was associated until his death. He moved to Richmond January 1,1917, and opened a law office in conjunction with that of Henry Starr at the corner of Tenth and Main streets. 8hortly afterwards he was admitted to the Wayne county bar. Mr. White made many friends In this community, as he possessed a very pleasing personality and especial ability Jn his profession. He was a member" of the State Bar Association, and affiliated with the Knights of Pythias Lodge, also being prominent In Indiana University alumni matters. Mr. White is survived by his wife and two children, Margaret, and James Elmer, Jr. His body was removed to Boonville Sunday, where burial will be made in the family graveyard. Wayne County Circuit court adjourned this morning for the rest of the day out of respect to the late attorney. Judge Bond appointed Henry U. Johnson, Harry C. Starr and Denver Harlan as a committee to draw up resolutions of respect which will be presented at a meeting of the bar to-

SOLDIER TELLS HIS CHRISTMAS WANTS Lewis Klnley. who is with the expeditionary forces in France, wants a tooth brush and some tooth paste for Christmas. His mother, Mrs. Mary Klnley, National road east, received a letter Saturday from him in which he sent the coupon for the Christmas box, and told what he wanted in it Last Thursday the first coupon for a Christmas box was received at the Red Cross rooms. Since that time about ten coupons have been turned in. The boxes are not ready to be distributed yet and announcement will be made as soon as they are ready for distribution. In Kinley's letter to his mother ht says: "The following Is what I would like to have: Spearmint gum, Peter's chocolate, 1 Prophylactic tooth brush, 1 tube Kolynos tooth paste. 1 Williams shaving stick, walnut taffy and what else you can get in the package not to weigh more than three pounds, and not larger than 9x4x3 inches. "Greetings for Thanksgiving, and wish I could be home.- I also need some ' tan Bhoe strings."
