NEW DRAFTS OF GERMAN TROOPS SHOWREBELLION Lack of Discipline Leads to - Mutiny in Enemy Ranks Conscripts Refuse to Fight. LONDON. Oct. 28. The German armies should not be considered as definitely and finally beaten, military observers here say. Allied soldiers , who are fighting their way forward in the face of great enemy resistance know that the enemy is not broken and that much heavy fighting probably will have to be faced. At the same time reliable reports continue to reach London of increaseing disaffection among the German soldiers. This disaffection and lack of discipline has led to actual mutiny in many cases. Several drafts of new -soldiers have refused to go to the front in the past three months and they have been taken there by force in small batches. Late in July the German War Ministry issued an order1 which had just reached London that the most vigorous measures must be imposed on the recalcitrant troops. The order adds: "In all quarters cases of insubordination have occurred. The troops obey neither orders nor instructions, and they have often even offered resistance and assaulted their superiors. "The essential point Is that no man shall at any time feel free from all supervision. " If necessary, resistance may be broken by force of arms. Requests for assistance are to be sent by wire." . .

Influenza Causes Death of Soldier

MILTON. Ind.. Oct. 28. The funeral of Raymond Bryant, who died of pneumonia Saturday afternoon at Camp Greenleaf. Ga.. was held at Milton Friday afternoon.. The Rev. Mr. McCormack, his pastor, and the Rev. Mr. Hestor. of the Methodist chrfrch, officiated. Mrs. Wallace sang a solo and a quartet composed of Mrs. Warren, Mrs. Harry Doty, Albert Newman and Harry Doty sang two hymns.

No Profiteering in Corn Husker's Wages LAFAYETTE, Ind,, Oct 28. Farmers, county councils of defense, and other interests in twelve counties in this part of the state has decided : there shall be no profiteering in corn husking wages this year. They met here and agreed upon the payment ; of a maximum of 8 cents and a mini imum of 6 cents a bushel for husking 'this fall. Charges in excess or under the two sus are to be reported to the councils of defense.

Our normal output is about 4,000 dozen per day. We are putting on a night shift, but it will be a little while before that Is producing. using VapoRub that is, applied over the throat and chest and covered with hot flannel cloths our customers are writing us daily telling of their success in using VapoRub in other ways, particularly as a preventive. They melt a little in a spoon and inhale the vapors arising, or melt it in a benzoin steam kettle. Where the steam kettle is not available, VapoRub can be used in an ordinary teakettle. Fill the teakettle half full of boiling water, put in half a teaspoon of VapoRub from time to time keep the kettle just slowly boiling and inhale the steam arising. According to a Bulletin just issued by the Public Health Service, Dr. Stiles, of this Service, recommends that the nose be kept greased as a preventive measure against the Influenza germs.
