Fire PreventiotTDay, which hereto fore has been celebrated on October 9th, the anniversary of the great Chicago fire, was this year postponed to November 2nd at the request of federal officials, in order that it might not conflict with with the Fourth Liberty Loan campaign. Plans for .the annual celebration of the day In Indiana have been completed by the State Fire Marshal, following the issuance of a proclamation by Governor Goodrich, designating Saturday, November 2d. as Fire and Accident Prevention Day. Fire Prevention "Day, the day let apart for the purpose of devoting special attention to the subject of fire prevention, will be observed by the people In many states on that dav. In Indiana, the State Fire Marshal Is endeavoring to enlist the help of the school officials, municipal officers, the civic bodies, churches and other organizations for causing a general observance of the day. CARL THUM BURIED. EATON, C Oct. 25. Following his death Tuesday at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. P. Thnm, the funeral and burial of Carl Thum, aged 39, were held Friday morning at 10 o'clock. The v services were held at the family home. In charge of Rev.
