CAMP TEAMS GET READY FOR GAME
CAMP GRANT, 111., Oct. 24. The Camp Grant football team yesterday began the grinding work of preparing for the big game against Camp Taylor at Weeghman park, Chicago, on army day, Nov. 9. CapL Omer admitted that no definite dope on the team could be had at present. The first chance to Judge his material will come Saturday when the team goes to Madison. The only chance the coaches have had to get a line on the team was in the game against the remount station last Saturday. In spite of the fact that the remounts had been organized longer they went down to a 45 to 0 defeat. Lieut. C. H. Guy, line coach, who was formerly center on the Washington and Jefferson team and also on the Dartmouth eleven, said: "Our line compares with any in the country. We have a few surprises in store for Wisconsin." Two former University of Wisconsin men were on the field. One wa3 Lieut. Wallace Landry, star mat and gridiron man. Ho will not be able to get
into the game. Herold Stark, former Badger, will be in the back field Saturday.
Freed British Prisoners Praise American Aid
(By Associated Press) LONDON, Oct. 24. Liberated British prisoners passing through Sofia on their way to Saloniki speak gratefully of the work done by the American consul general at Sofia in their behalf, according to a dispatch to the Mail. They said that, although the British and French prisoners endured much hardship, the Serbians were regularly beaten by their Bulgarian captors and often shot without excuse. One British prisoner said, according to the dispatch, "The poor devils were thrashed, worked to death or slain in a way that no civilized country would allow a dog to be treated." Some members of the British prisoner party are said to have been pitiably pale and thin, but one said, "There are men in far worse condition than we come in."

Stores with Paris Branches Cannot Take Xmas Orders
An Indianapolis store which had arranged to take orders for Christmas gifts to be sent to American soldiers in France through its Paris store, has been compelled to announce that this cannot be done on account of the present congestion of postal service in France. A letter received by this firm says: We regret exceedingly that we cannot accept Paris shopping orders but in the light of our knowledge of present postal congestion in France, we have no alternative. "A cablegram just received says that the marketing and postal facilities are already burled under orders and unshipped parcels that it will be Impossible to guarantee any further packages reaching the addressees before Christmas,"
Sound of Big Gtins Is Music, Writes Soldier Mrs. Ollie Wolfe has received a letter from her son, Sergeant Oscar Rhinehart, of Company B, 7th Engineers, Class I, American Expeditionary Forces. He says: "I received your welcome letter and was very glad to get it. I have a little news to tell you. We made a trip over the top and got through all right. It takes several Germans to get me. We are having good luck at this writing. I am writiing this letter in the front line trenches. Have gotten used to the cannons. They are music to my ears. Every time I hear one spit I know she has gotten several Germans."

GRAY HAIR BECOMES DARK AND BEAUTIFUL Look Years Younger! Try Grandma's Recipe of Sage and Sulphur and Nobody Will Know.
Anglo-American Baseball League Formed in England
The Anglo-American Baseball leai,
made up of enlisted men in England, played more than 150 games this year. There is talk of organizing a league made up of London, Manchester, Sheffield, Birmingham, Leeds, Glasgow and Edinburgh, and in addition two clubs in London.
Almost' everyone knows that Sage Tea and Sulphur, properly compounded, brings back the natural color and lustre to the hair when faded, streaked or gray. Years ago the only way to get this mixture was to make it at home, which is mussy and troublesome. Nowadays we simply ask at any drug store for "Wyeth's Sage and Sulphur Compound." You will get a largo bottle of this old-time recipe improved by the addition of other ingredients, at very little cost. Everybody uses this preparation now, because no one can possibly tell that you darkened
your hair, as it does is so naturally and evenly. You dampen a sponge or soft brush with it and draw this
through your hair, taking one small! strand at a time; by morning the gray
hair disappears, and after another ap
plication or two, your hair becomes beautifully dark, thick and glossy and
you look years younger. Wyeth's Sage and Sulphur Compound is a delightful
toilet requisite. It is not intended for
the cure, mitigation or prevention of
disease. Adv.

SERVED ON FIVE
The first five complaints which have been drawn up by the representatives of the War Labor Board in accordance with the regulations have been served, upon the manufacturers, stated I. K. Russell, field representative of the War Labor Board, today. These will be served on the manufacturers so that they will be given time to prepare for the hearings. Mr. Russell stated that a field representative from the War Labor Board would be sent out her to aid the laboring men who file the complaints and another would be sent out to aid the capitalists.
