GERMANY'S METHOD off WARFARE
Positive German orders sunk the Lusitania, Essex and a few other unaimed helpless, American passenger ships without warning, and their cargoes, mostly American women and children, went down to the ocean's bottom to be devoured by the sharks. Nine or ten hospital ships on errands of mercy have besn forced to carry with them as they sank, the lives and bodies of the sick and wounded as well as the red cross nurses that accompanied them, to watery graves, with no chance in the world to be saved. Terrible engines of destruction have been trained on sacred places of worship during Easter day services. Hospitals have been the targets of heartless Hun fliers. Dear little innocent, helpless babies have w:en torn from the breasts and their mothers brutally murdered, tortured and starved. Canadian soldiers have been crucified on barn doors, mutilated and left as examples to terrorize those who might pursue the ghastly Germans. Millions have been starved to death. If there is anything inhuman and dastardly that the murderous German has left undone it is because he has not thought of it.

And thank God for the privilege of doing even that much to help save the world from the beast who would destroy all the good in it, and when you say your prayers to-night ask the Gracious God in Heaven to give our boys, our people and our President the strength to endure and guide our affairs to bring to dust these demons who are violating all laws of humanity, mercy and civilization.
