GENTLEMEN WE WISH YOUR ATTENTION T FEW MINUTES The Exide Battery Is a quality product throughout. It is sold and always has been on the basis of low maintenance rather than low first cost. There are reasons they follow and we wish you to consider these.

NINE POINTS OF "EXIDE" EXIDE "Exide" plates represent the last work in starting battery plate construction. The finely cast grids, their compactness, and the uniform pasting of chemically correct material give to them strength, stability and durability that is unique in battery plate building. EXIDE "Exide" separators are readily distinguished by their toughness and body. They are made of a selected quality of hard and durable wood subjected to a specially developed "treating" process which eliminates elements injurious to the battery, and insures unequalled service life. EXIDE "Exide" jars are made of a tough semiflexible rubber compound which has been tested to conform with the hi?h standard of "Exide" quality. Their durability and freedom from breakage are service proven. EXIDE The patented "Exide" cell cover prevents Impurities from entering the cell and leaves no room for the collection of moisture. The non-flooding filling plug, an ingenious device, automatically eliminates corrosion of metal parts and rotting of the case. EXIDE . The "Exide" Intercell connectors are especially heavy, their ample cross section insuring a liberal carrying capacity at high discharge rates required in starting battery service. The Intercell connectors fit snugly on and are welded to the cell terminal posts, insuring a perfect mechanical and electrical connection. EXIDE The "Exide" Battery case is made of well' sea- . soned, hard and durable wood. Corners are lockedno nails or bolts are used. The expansion joint in the bottom prevents warping. Case is protected with several coats of acid-proof paint EXIDE Lead coated steel handles are sunk into the "Exide" case and are firmly anchored in place. They cannot be pulled out and do not project beyond the ends of the case to increase the over-all length of the battery.

EXIDE

EXIDE

The "Exide" Battery is the original unit cell battery. Each cell is separately sealed bulky compound is eliminated. This gives greater plate area hence more power for a given unit of weight and size. It also permits the removal of any one cell, assuring quick and economical repairs when necessary.

The "Exide" Battery Is the product of The Electric Storage Battery Co., the oldest and largest manufacturer of storage batteries in the country. Built into it is thirty years of specialized battery building experience experience which assures to the user the maximum of value for every dollar entering into its purchase.
