Two hundred and flfty-four pioneer Morris Flaherty 70 settlers of Wayne county have died John W. Foulk . . j 85 since August of last year. Of these, Mary A. Peer 86 one was 93 years old, two were 92, Henry F. Frlcker 75 one was 91 and six were 90. One! Daniel B. Coltraln 74
was 89. five were 88, four were 87, five were 86, nine were 85, eight were 84, nine were 83, thirteen were 82, sixteen were 81, seventeen were 80. Thirteen were 79, thirteen were 7S, twelve were 77, fifteen were 76, nineteen were 75, seventeen were 74, twenty-six were 73, flrteen were 72, ten were 71, and twenty-two were 70 yeara old. This list was compiled by Walter Ratliff, secretary of the Wayne County Old Settlers Association. The names. follow:

EIGHT OXFORD GIRLS ENLIST AS WAR NURSES
OXFORD, O., Aug. 16. This village has been called upon to furnish ten nurses for the war. The local federation of woman's clubs is in charge of the recruiting, and today the names of eight young women were announced. They are: Misses Opal Trew, Marie Beaton, Mary Hulick, Martha Anderson, Beatrice Preston, Opal Vanness, Martha Todd and Leah Garrod.
