AN ORDINANCE REGULATING PARKING OR STOPPING OF VEHICLES ON CERTAIN PORTIONS OF MAIN AND EIGHTH STREETS AND CERTAIN PORTIONS OF FIFTH, SIXTH, SEVENTH, EIGHTH, NINTH AND TENTH STREETS IN THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION OF ANY OF ITS PROVISIONS. SECTION 1. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, That it shall be and is hereby made unlawful for any person who drives, controls or operates or who has in his care, custody, control or under his management any automobile or other self-propelled vehicle, or any buggy, carriage, wagon, dray or other similar vehicle to cause, suffer, allow or permit any such vehicle, whether the same is occupied or unoccupied, to remain standing at any time whatsoever on or along Main street in said city between any point one hundred feet east of the east projected curb line, and any point one hundred feet west of the west projected curb line of Eighth street intersecting said Main street, or on or along Eighth Street in said City between any point one hundred feet north of the north projected curb line and any point one hundred feet south of the south projected curb line of said Main Street, which points shall be designated by appropriate signs or standards marked "SAFETY ZONE," or on or along the east side of Fifth, Sixth, Seventh, Eighth, Ninth and Tenth streets be tween North "A" and South "A" Streets in said city for a longer per iod of time than is actually necessary j ror persons to enter tne same or angni therefrom, or while such vehicle is actually being used in loading or unloading goods or merchandise. SECTION 2. Any person who shall violate any of the provisions of Section 1 of this ordinance shall upon conviction be fined in any sum not more than ($10.00) Ten Dollars for each offense. SECTION 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication according to law.
