MRX.ELrlZABETH THOMPSON
uar Mrs. Thompson: I am a girl of twenty. I have a boy friend I have seemed to care a great deal' about me. He la in the army now and has been writing to me. He says he loves me better than any girl be ever saw and I will admit that I love him with all my heart. I really don't think I could care for any other. He wrote me that he was coming home to see me and he came and did not come to see me. When he went back to camp he wrote me a letter and asked me not to feel mad at him for the way he did and said he loved me more than all the world- He also asked me to wait for him and said he was coming home real soon, and was coming to see me the first one. I wrote him that If he did not come I wouldn't believe anything more he said. When he came I did not see him at all and have not heard from him since. He was a nice boy and sent me nice presents. He is
In France now and I have given up all hopes of hearing from him again. Do you think he has forgotten me? He has one of my pictures and carries it with him all the time and said he would never part with it He is rather bashful. Do you think he really loved me? Did I do wrong by telling him I wouldn't believe him? I keep thinking he will write, as I love him so much and he seemed to think so much of me. I want you to advise me what to do. WORRIED. You couldn't believe in the boy after the way he treated you. It was all right to tell him that you could not believe him again. You must try to forget him and must stop looking for his letters. He does not love you or he would treat von with
consideration. Some day you will be thankful that you escaped marrying

makes a very unsatisfactory husband. Dear Mrs. Thompson: Where I work there is a young man who interests me very much. He talks to. me at noon and tella me all about his wife. They are strangers here in town and she doesn't know anybody. She is very lonely and wishes she had friends. Do you think it would be all right for me to invite them over some evening. I thought I could have another young man who works where we do who takes me places occasionally. I do not want the man's wife to think I am overly Interested in her husband, because I am not. What would you advise? ; ' DOUBTFUL. Your plan is all right. The wife will be grateful to you for - the invitation unless she is a peculiar sort of woman. There is a chance, of course, that she might be jealous of you since you and her husband work at the same place. Dq not consider such a possibility, however. .
