Lemons Do Whiten! Try This on Face, Neck, Arms, Hands
The lemon Juice massage indulged
In once or twice each day means a little time and trouble, girls, but what of the splendid results? A skin
bleached Beautifully white, a com
plexion with the bloom of a peach, a softening of those lines of ca:e: in
fact, a skin eloquent of nature's purity and bands white, soft and full of charm.
What girl or woman hasn't heard of
lemon juice to remove complexion blemishes; to bleach the skin and to
bring out the roses, the freshness and
the hidden beauty? But lemon juice
alone is acid, therefore irritating, and
snould be mixed with orchard white this way. Strain through a fine cloth the juice of two fresh lemons into, a
bottle containing about three ounces of orchard white, then shake well and
you have a whole quarter pint of skin
and complexion lotion at about the cost one usually pays for a small jar of ordinary cold cream. Be sure to
strain the lemon juice so no nulo sets
into the bottle, then this lotion will remain pure and fresh for months.
When massaged daily into the face.
neck, arms and hands it should naturally help to whiten, clear, smoothen and beautify the skin.
Any druggist will supply three
ounces of orchard. white at very little cost and the grocer has the lemons. Adv. . 1 v
WANT THE "MAKII1S?" THEN JOIN ARMY
The man who is accustomed to the fragrance of a "Jimmy" pipe and the Joys of rice and wheat paper will have to -resort- to "tailor made" cigarettes soon, according to information issuing from Samuel L. Buckley, Richmond wholesale tobacco firm. When it was announced that the government bad taken over the output of Bull Durham for three months, only a tenth of the Story had been told. The government didn't stop with Bull Durham. The demand for "makings" among the boys in olive drab proved tremendous, so, Prince Albert, Tuxedo, Velvet, Stag, Dukes Mixture, RedirCut, Union Leader and Stud were added to the list. Nothing but the least popular brands of tobacco remain." Those meu who formerly smoked "making" however, will have some consulatlon as he puffs his "tailor made" in the thought that under the blue skies of Picardy and the leaden skies of Flanders or wherever else our boys may be stationed on the battle front, thousands of the little spiral wreaths are ascending from their favorite brands of tobacco, the ottly Joy that the boys "over there" have besides killing a -Hun. As to how long this shortage will remain, is another question. According to the men at the Richmond wholesale house, it may last three months and maybe longer. No one knows, they say.
Will Name Committee for Americanization of Foreigners Here The Americanization of foreigners in the community is one of the duties assigned the Richmond Commercial club by the national council of defense. A committee will be appointed from the club to carry out plans that will be outlined by the national council. Some of the means by which the foreign element is reached are furnished by night schools, civic events in which the foreigners may participate, study of the English language, and American principles and institutions. The purpose of the Americanization plan is to make the foreigners in a community more thoroughly a part of the city in which they live, and better acquainted with the ideals and government of the country.
PRESENT COMEDY
The High School Dramatic society presented a short comedy, "Hyacinth Halvey," at morning exercises Tuesday. Earl Keisker appeared in the title role, and the assisting caste included Maxine Murray, Dorothy Lebo, Oran Parker, Claude G. Miller and Earl
Porter.
There have been 1,379 Roman crosses and crosses awarded to warrant officers, noncommissioned officers and men of the British forces during the present war.
LIFT OFF CORNS FREEZ0NE is MAGIC
Costs few cents! Sore, touchy corns lift right off with fingers. No pain!
Drop a little Freezone on an aching corn, instantly that corn stops hurting, then you lift it right out. It doesn't hurt one bit Yes, magic!
