Girls! Use Lemon Juice! Make This Beauty Cream
The lemon juice massage indulged in
once or twice each day means a little time and trouble, girls, but what of the splendid results? A skin bleached beautifully white, a complexion with the bloom of a peach, a softening of those lines of care; in fact, a skin eloquent of nature's, purity and hands white, soft and full of charm. What girl or woman hasn't heard of lemon juice to remove tan, freckles and sallowness.; to bleach the skin and to bring out he roses, the freshness and the hidden beauty? But lemon juice alone is acid, therefore irritating, and should be mixed with orchard white this way. Strain through a fine cloth the juice of two
fresh lemons into a bottle containing about three ounces of orchard white, then shake well and you have a whole quarter pint of skin and complexion lotion at about the cost one usually pays for a small jar of ordinary cold cream. Be sure to strain the lemon juice so no pulp gets into the bottle, then this lotion will remain pure and fresh for months. When massaged daily into the face, neck, arms and hands it should naturally help to whiten, clear, smoothen, and beautify the skin. Any druggist or toilet counter will supply three ounces of orchard white for a few cents and the grocer the lemons. Adv.

URGED TO DESTROY BARBERRY AT ONCE
Many persons In Wayne county have not heeded the warning of the Department of Agriculture to exterminate the common variety of barberry bushes, according to J. C. Kline, county agent. The extermination of this bush was urged because of the fact that it destroys wheat. Harry Gilbert, Wayne county food administrator, received an official bulletin from the United States food administration Friday, which stated that the administration had taken up the battle against the common barberry bush. Posters have been distributed throughout the county requesting everyone to heed the advice and dig up and destroy these bushes.. Kline said that many people did not know the difference between the
common variety and the Japanese bar
bery, the lattter bush being harmless,
and not included in the indictment. The common barberry is illustrated in colors on the posters .which were issued by the Department of Agriculture, and by examining these iluustra-
tlons the difference between the two
varieties can be easily distinguished
Those who have not yet destroyed the barberry bushes on their land are urged to do so at once by the
county agent and the food adminis trator.
